Welcome on board. I'm glad that you decided to find some courage to join.
As for my guess.. journalism or theatre studies.

How ya going, Vika!? Welcome to the board. Aussies are some of my fav people! There seems to be a lot of Australians in Canada, in particular Whistler, BC. By using a word like verbose I'm going to have to guess you're an English major, like myself You're practically Canadian for apologizing for your vocabulary haha. I've always wanted to visit Australia, maybe one day you could show me around!

Welcome!
Australians are rampant on all the ski mountains in BC. You're a minority if you're Canadian and in, say, Big White!

So I think it is about time I introduce myself to this little corner of the Internet. After years of stealth level scouring of this lovely page, I have decided to join in on the fun! A little about me: I'm currently 20, I live in Sydney, Australia and am studying at university (a special prize will go to the person who first guesses what I study. Hint 1: it's not your typical dev profession). I've known I was a dev for quite some time and until recently I have not had the lady balls to tell any of my friends (and even then there was a considerable amount of alcohol going into the decision to disclose my promiscuities). I've felt like a bit of a fraud with my avid support of embracing of ones sexuality without doing so myself. Also I have never taken part in an online forum, so it may take me a little while to warm up to the format, hope that is okay So I think that is enough about me for now, we shall see what comes of this little corner of the Internet! Hint 2: as you may already tell, I tend on the side of incredibly verbose, which may be a trait of my education. But I do apologise in advance for it! P.s. I haven't the faintest what the special prize is, I just thought it would be a fun guessing game! Hello! We verbose ladies have to stick together! So if I had to guess what you're studying (consider I have no clue what's a typical dev profession)... circus acrobat? astrophysicist? chef? all of the above mixed together? Also, please please PLEASE tell me the special prize is a baby wombat!!!

Hi Vicky, welcome to the board! You've got to think of a prize for the lucky winner. Otherwise, somebody is gonna want to suggest a prize.... and you don't want that.

Hi, there are a few of us Aussies on here. There are a couple of devs in Sydney, and I think there is a quad guy, I haven't met him though. There are several in other states, a few of us get together occasionally.
There is no atrogeophysics course available in Sydney, so it is not that. Sydney Uni has an excellent degree in Aeronautical engineering (space) so maybe you are a rocket scientist. Probably not accounting as they would not be so verbose. If you were at CSU I would have picked journalism, but my real guess is marketing.

You mentioned lady balls and considerable amounts of alcohol in the same sentence. I like you already, welcome to the board!

Hi Vika and welcome from a fellow Sydney dev. There are more than a few Aussies here but scattered geographically around the country. And Wonk is right the little Aussie chapter of PD gets together every so often, which is really neat. So glad you found us and hope you enjoy this corner of the Net.
As for your studies, I'm guessing law.
