Warning: This is a 2am Darthoso can't sleep thread despite 31 hours and 12 minutes in Uncle Jonathan mode entertaining a 5 and 9 year old nephew/niece with Sims4.
What do you fear? Rationally, irrationality, long term, short term, whatever. Badass Wheeler aside, what do you worry about? What are you paranoid about happening regarding your disability?
I hate edges, pools edges, subway platform edges (thanks House of Cards), etc. Losing control of my chair even for a split second freaks me out.

Road camber, gutters and falling out of my chair (Even though this has happened more than once lol). Also having my catheter yanked out would be my biggest fear....

I have a very irrational fear that the only person I have/do truly love in a romantic way will Inexplicably die. Like getting hit by a drunk driver or lightning bolt or something. Other than that, there's really not too much I worry about. I suppose to some extent, I do worry about my own health and safety, so I try to avoid doing obviously stupid shit like operating heavy machinery while drunk.
Honestly, I probably have many fears, but these are the only ones that really stand out in my mind.

Being burned or boiled alive. That's pretty much it. I couldn't really think of anything fearful to me until I saw this. Thanks, now I too am terrified of being boiled alive...

I have a fear of being lifted by another person. I can't transfer myself so this makes my life interesting at times. I have no problem using a hoyer lift, but I just don't trust people enough not to drop me.

I really don't have any fears. I'm not trying to be macho or anything, I just keep a level head about everything. I was a pretty rough and tumble kid, I've caught thousands of snakes, spiders, bugs and other creepy crawlies in my life. I don't fear health related problems because I know things are going to happen. I try to keep a healthy concern and try to avoid them but in the end, what can I really do? I would say that I fear dying alone, but I know that won't happen. Even if I never had another serious girlfriend, I have so many people in my life that I know I'm never truly alone. I'm good with heights, confined spaces, clowns and all the irrational stuff. I drowned when I broke my neck and it wasn't as bad as you'd think, so that's out. So, what's left to fear? Maybe it's purely a situational thing with me. There just isn't anything that I can say honestly scares me right now.

I don't like bugs, especially on parts of my body that I can't reach to brush them off. Also, out of my chair I cannot move much at all, so I have a fear of waking up in bed and my nurse/family not being there, leaving me pretty much stuck until someone realizes what happened

Things like Okay Google and other voice activated apps are a good backup but never something I'd rely on. Worst was in college when the night CNA couldn't hear me call out and I was stuck on my bad arm for hours. Worst close call was when a night CNA just straight up left after turning my lights off. Thank god my live in PCA's bf noticed, told me, and gave me my phone. Had he not I would have been stuck for at least 9 hours.

Athletic devs come get me, rawr!

When I see travel related accidents (planes, trains, cruise liners, etc) where everyone survives, I always think to myself that I would probably be the one fatality. Like the plane that veered off the runway and burned up at SFO. Or the plane that had to emergency land in the Potomac.
I also wonder about being a victim in a terrorist attack. When I go to NYC, I am always in Times Sq, which has supposedly been mentioned as a target. And in Vegas, I'm always on the strip, another target. I have walked down the section of Boylston street in Boston many times.
And the fire thing too, yeah. I stayed at the Monte Carlo in Vegas many years ago, and several years back they had a fire that wiped out a few floors at the top. There won't be another MGM disaster, but if there is a fire at night, I'm kinda fucked and I better just call home and say goodbye to the family.
I'm also now paranoid about being at my house alone overnight. A couple years ago I had a chair accident and ended up on the floor for 4 hours before the family came back. If I had fallen in a way that constricted my breathing, I would have been toast. What a crappy way to die, except I did have my nice jazz playing at loud volume.
Shortly after my fall they introduced the first (and still only) always-on voice activated phone, the MotoX. I got it as soon as it came out. Most phones you have to press a button to get voice activation, but this one is always listening. The MotoX already got me out of one tight spot in Vegas. I turned over in bed and dropped my usual phone, and could not reach it. The MotoX was on my chair's side pack, out of reach. I was able to activate it and call my main phone, and then was able to locate/reach my regular phone, which had my helper's number. I would have eventually been ok because my helper would have wondered about me, or I could have used the Motox to call 911, but either may have taken a while. At any given time I carry at least 3 phones and multiple battery packs. I don't let any phones go below 75% charge.

Dementia. The idea of somebody you love dearly slowly losing their will, personality and mind until they become so helpless is utterly heartbreaking. My Grandma's showing signs and it's a terrifying thing for us all to go through.
Not too fond of snakes either.
