So I know not all but a lot of you guys out there know other wheelers from one way or another. My question is do you tell your friends about this site? Do you usually hide it as a secret gem? Were any of you guys friends previously to joining this site? I know for me I pretty much tell every guy that I encounter that I'm on this site and he should check it out. Not all of them join BUT I'm sure they've lurked. I'm not very active here because I think there's a lot of annoying members.. No offense. But I think this site would be a lot more entertaining with new guys! So spread the word.. Right? There are a ton of devs!

I remember when I thought this place would be more entertaining with new guys. So naive. Anyways, I don't really have other pwd friends. That being said, I wouldn't outright tell them about this place. I'd probably just mention that a few of my friends (by which of course I mean several) are devotees and then see where that goes. If they seem interested after that, then maybe I might mention it to them.

I have more disabled friends than I can shake a stick at. I've only told one person about devs directly and one indirectly. The one I told about directly is married and it was just part of a conversation that sprung up. The one I told indirectly about devs (not this site) has taken his life.
Not exactly the easiest thing to bring up, and then I think do I really want people I know joining here? No is my first reaction, but maybe a situation will arise in the future.

Well it seems to me from the above answers that you guys are not too happy to be attractive to devs? You would rather be attractive to just regular girls! Ouch!
Perhaps it is time for a dev strike.

I am not sure where anyone said we're not happy to be attractive to devs. I am married to one, which makes spilling the beans about devs or this site, a decision that not only affects myself, but my wife as well.

Hell no.
I'm sure many of the girls would like to have some more eye-candy on the site, but I think it's by far the best if guys find this site as a result of their own curiosity and work. I figure it's one of those few things that can ensure they are more ready to deal with it, on average. Otherwise I can easily see the ryonbizark-experience becoming way more common.
Bluntly put, I'd rather have as little of that as possible.

I don't really have any wheeler friends and aside from a few bosom buds, I keep my membership here a secret.
Guess I should say something, that'll stop them setting me up with girls who are wary of the CP and not accepting.

I only have one other disabled friend, but I have not told him. If there is ever a need for it to come up in conversation, sure I'll tell him. I'm not hiding it, I just haven't had a reason to mention it.

And added to that: I know a bunch of disabled people, but none of them I know well enough to judge how they'd respond if I told them about devoteeism. If I did have a disabled friend I knew very well, and felt that he'd be open to it, I probably would tell him about PD.

Yeah, I'd be very careful in telling them about it, just in case they quickly develop some kind of Casanova complex, disrespect the devs and make arses of themselves. Mind you, it should be common sense, you can't expect girls to go gaga over you just like that just because you're what they like, if at all in some cases.
Sometimes you have to be a little harsh to be helpful I think, not to put them off but to make sure they learn.

I admit i misunderstood the question. I understood it meant if u would tell other wheelers/pwd who are basically understanding or may show understanding of the dev concept like you guys do.

I don't have wheeler friends. I'm prejudiced.

I think the PWD:Dev ratio is already on the high side, us guys don't need any more competition In all seriousness, if I had any close PWD friends, I'd probably tell them

That sometimes crosses my mind, if I see someone or am interacting with a PWD, should I tell but it is a hard one to figure out...going back to handing out the business cards... Perhaps devs are more likely to tell the disabled guys they meet? I've told my para mate, but don't think he's ever been here and had a look.

...or writing the site on a napkin giving it to a wheeler while being wasted in the club....
