I have a Mac laptop I used in college, but I rarely use it now.
My desktop: Windows 10 64bit i7 4770k (close loop cooled) Asus motherboard 16gb ram (can't remember the speed) 2 SSDs, 2 HDDs (1 each are from my old PC and aren't being used) GTX 980ti (Medicaid needed me to get my bank account below $2k in order to get PCA services, which was a lie, so I bought the card).

Oh, I keep getting those "UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10!!!" messages, they do annoy me. "HEY, I NOTICE YOU'RE WATCHING NETFLIX, UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10!" "OH, WATCHING PORN ARE WE? UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10!" " NO BATTLEFRONT 2! YOU GET WONDOWS 10!" You get the idea. I'm not getting it until someone explains the benefits. I'm fine with the speed and convenience of Windows 8. I think the benefit is Microsoft gets all your personal data. The reason they are giving it away for free is data mining. Ha, yeah. "Despite having this free upgrade, we at Microsoft have accessed your bank details, and have noticed that you can in fact afford a deluxe edition of Windows 10. We have charged all your major cards accordingly."

1. PC 2. Intel 3. Depends on who has the best video card for me. Right now I'm doing a AMD 7990. I like the dual gpu setup on a single board.

I'm not getting it until someone explains the benefits. I'm fine with the speed and convenience of Windows 8. The only benefit is that Microsoft is dropping all support for older windows OS, making 10 their focus. This could make it the best OS yet. On the other hand, they do get all your data, but that can be turned off by removing key programs. GTX 980ti (Medicaid needed me to get my bank account below $2k in order to get PCA services, which was a lie, so I bought the card). Thats the card I want to get, however I heard Nvidia is going to be coming out with a new breed of gfx cards by the end of the year, so I may wait for that.

Wait, the card is crazy loud (or get a non stock cooler).

Wait, the card is crazy loud (or get a non stock cooler). I never use stock cooling. But the noise wouldn't bother me, my current computer had some cooling issues a few years ago, so I bought like 10 fans and a new case. When I turn the fans to full power they blow hard enough to sound like a vacuum cleaner. I keep my tower next to my bed, I never turn it off.
