Just wondering a few things about everyone's computer preferences. This is mainly for the fellow geeks/enthusiasts but I guess everyone can answer number one at least. for me its PC, Intel, and Geforce. 1: PC or Mac? 2: Intel or AMD? 3: Geforce or Radeon?

1:PC [Toshiba Satellite with Windows 8 OS] 2:Intel 3) Geforce, I think.
I do want a gaming PC at some point, but for the mo I'm happier with good gameplay with low graphics for now. Substance over style.

Depends on who has better hardware at the time (I am a gamer, so Nvida and AMD cards are normally the best) Here is my current build. I'm hoping to upgrade my gtx 660s to a gtx 980 soon. I'm tired of having SLI and not being able to use it in 50% of games. I have had really bad experiences using Mac computers, even as someone who does graphic design, I hate Apple.

I will say this. Ever since I upgraded from Windows 8 to 10, it's been an unmitigated fuster cluck. I often have to restart my computer because the graphics get messed up and overly bright, overly saturated (and yes, I did reinstall the graphics driver.) Several times, it just shuts down my keyboard, so nothing responds, again forcing a reboot. It forces updates on me, and there's no way to turn them off. It changes saved preferences, such as added words to my MS Word dictionary. Even though I have office, I still get reminders to "buy office." It keeps disabling my antivirus firewall, so I have to manually turn it on. I've come close to throwing my laptop against the wall. I never thought an OS could be worse than 8 until 10 came along. And I can't go back to 8 because there was a one month grace period to go back. So I'm stuck with this disaster. I know a lot of people like 10 and have no problems with it, but the one I got has been evil. Run window updates. All issues I had with windows 10 have been fixed. If your keyboard stops responding it may be a Mobo issues and not a windows problem. Windows has nothing to do with your bios. How old is your laptop? The hardware could be messing with the way the OS runs.

That's a pretty decent system system. I'm not sure how you got the little graphic but here is a part picker list for my setup pcpartpicker.com/p/CpY2vK . I have my SSD's in a RAID0 and my GTX980 overclocked to 1500MHz. I can overclock my 4790k to 4.7GHz if I want but it makes the power system on the mother board stay hot all the time so I don't.

I'm not sure how you got the little graphic Its a screenshot of Speccy. I tend to upgrade a few parts once a year. This year I will be upgrading my GFX cards. Eventually I will need to get another terabyte hard drive to store my youtube/twitch stuff on, still debating on a SATA drive or SSD. It just depends on pricing when I'm ready to buy.

SSD's are total worth it. Samsung 850 EVO's are pretty cheap right now. If you motherboard supports it then get two smaller ones and put them in RAID0. Mine are 250GB so my C: drive is 500GB total and I get a little over 1GBs from it. It's really helpful for things like the Adobe programs and load times on games, especially ones like GTA v. I just use it for games I play a lot and programs. Some reason the quote messed up :/

It's a couple years old, but that's no excuse for such piss poor performance since the update. I'd go back to 8 (preferably 7) in a heartbeat, given the choice. I haven't seen a single good feature about 10 that made this worth the switch. Perhaps having it on desktop mode instead of the panels is nice, but based on all the problems it's caused since the update that NEVER existed prior to it, I think it's a lemon of a system. Microsoft is going to be dropping support for all versions of windows except 10. Best get used to it. Forced updates are coming in the next year or so.

Pc or Mac doesn't bother me that much, I make fun of macs but in all honesty, I've used either and I can do whatever I want with both. Right now, Intel is the way to go. Graphics wise, I've got a Radeon card now because I won it in some contest about 1.5 years ago. if I had money to spend on new graphics, I'd probably go for an nVidia card, though.
My setupI've had no problems with windows 10 either.

For the laptop/desktop, its a headless desktop with an old third gen I5 and an ssd...god I love those damn things. Of course I have no need for a graphics card lol as I don't even use a screen. My desktop is stuck in the back of a cupboard somewhere and I operate it using wireless keyboard and headphones. As for mobile though, apple is the way tot go, as IOS is accessible with screen reading, whereas Android's attempt to integrate screenreader support sucks.

Oh, I keep getting those "UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10!!!" messages, they do annoy me.
"HEY, I NOTICE YOU'RE WATCHING NETFLIX, UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10!"
"OH, WATCHING PORN ARE WE? UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10!"
" NO BATTLEFRONT 2! YOU GET WONDOWS 10!"
You get the idea.
I'm not getting it until someone explains the benefits. I'm fine with the speed and convenience of Windows 8.

I think the benefit is Microsoft gets all your personal data. The reason they are giving it away for free is data mining.
