Hi there. I've just found this group and thought I would say hi. My name is Dav (which is short for David and handily is similar to Dev!) and I live in Chester in England.
I have a form of MD and use a wheelchair. I was diagnosed at 17 but it didn't really bother me until I was in my mid thirties when my walking became worse and once I hit 40 I was pretty much using a chair permanently. As I say it didn't really bother me when I was younger so I went to university, travelled, had a great career and some great/some not so great relationships! I no longer work but because I'd done well in my profession I'm fortunate enough not to have to rely on the state for benefits etc. which is a relief. I live on my own and apart from having a cleaner I'm virtually independent. (Other than when I fall over which only happens after one too many glasses of wine!)
Interests...music, art, food, film, erotica.
I'm hoping to make some new friends and contribute to this group.
Thanks for reading.
Dav

Thank you blindguitarist. I have a guitar myself but am not able to play it because of my weak hands; maybe that's a blessing!

haha I hope to the god that doesn't exist that a Bishop's Finger is a drink ... If it's something more, sue the church. I'm about to open another can of Guinness. I'm in Canada ... by the way, we have a province called Newfoundland that was mostly settled by Scottish and Irish, especially Irish, and you can simply make any Irish joke the brits tell into a "newfie" joke, by changing the place. Lovely place and people though, and they still sure know how to have a good time. Anyway, happy St. Patty's day for anybody who is pretending to be Irish for a few hours

Hi from Dev-2-Dav. U.K. Dev here, saying hello from the Midlands. Psst, you would have been better off putting your intro in the personals section - but what do I know, I've bollocksed down a whole packet of choccy biccies and had a couple of Bishops Fingers tonight, so I'm not in my right mind. Anyhow...welcome to PD! Thanks inkdevil. A novice mistake on my behalf posting in the wrong section! A personals section posting will be on the agenda soon. Hope you enjoyed your Bishops Fingers! Dav
