Daredevil season 2 is up on Netflix now! At first I was not sure, the brutal violence in season 1 was a bit much for me, but 3 episodes in and I'm totally loving it. No spoilers please, for those of us who don't have unlimited time to binge-watch the whole thing in a day. But Netflix expanded to a lot more countries now so it should be easier to watch.
So far this season seems even more comic book-y, with lots of scenes taken directly from old stories. The main villain so far is the Punisher, which I'm not crazy about but it's still fun. Also super looking forward to the Jessica Jones crossover coming up later.
I though it might not be super devvy but then in episode 2 there's a moment where Matt loses his hearing after a fight. It only lasts like a minute but it makes a big impact and in the (non-dev) reviews and comments I've been reading online, everyone is talking about that scene and wishing it had lasted longer or was more of a plot point. Ha! It's not just me! *begins writing fan fiction furiously*

Devi girl, I'm watching too. Just a couple so far. The violence seems really over the top to me still and not that interesting. Foggy my favorite character cause He Talks. I love the interaction between them all. Not sure about the Punisher so far. Doesn't seem devy hardly at all to me either though that 1 scene appreciated you mentioned. I have a hard time with him being led with his glasses on and cane and running his fingers along walls to just no evidence he's blind at all whe he's in suite and fighting. Fan fiction of it for us would be great. Do you have a site somewhere? Post it here? I hope, I hope.

I wrote a short DD story like 15 years ago that's in the archives: www.paradevo.net/daredevil.htmlIt uses characters and plotlines from the comic though, which have not appeared in the TV series. If you're looking for a devvy story with a guy who's blind and deaf, there's always my novel but I think you've read that already

You know, I'm a blind guy who hasn't yet checked out Daredevil ... the comic, the show, wasn't there a movie too? Anyway, people tell me the descriptive video for it is really well done, so, I'll have to finally check this out and report back. Keep in mind I know very little to nothing about commicbooks, super heroes etc. Psst. I can tell you what musical note you just moaned... does that count as a super power? "I wanted C! That was an A-flat!" Oh think of the fun we could have ...

Pretty good show I enjoyed it quite a bit the idea of a disabled superhero is amusing and daredevil is quite an interesting character. In the series they do a good job of re-creating the original comic book creation

so no spoilers yet then? spoiler alert, it gets really good by ep 7-8. I really like Jon Bernthal's Punisher, But absolutely hate his brush-mushroom cut thing. He would look so much more like Frank imo if he didn't have that stupid haircut. Although I will say that it bothered me less by the end of the season.

Absolutely amazing show! Veering off topic somewhat, as I am wont to do! Hope that's ok? I've always had a soft spot for comic book culture, mostly coz I'm a raging nerd, but I think also because I am a CP suffering raging nerd. Shows/films/comics like DD (especially DD with showing a disabled protagonist!!) have always fascinated me. I think because my mobility struggles seem to heighten the awe, I wonder if anyone else gets that? I'm never really sure if my enjoyment of those things stems from that increased awe, or vice versa.
