It was first published in 'The Manly daily' which is a free local fish and chip wrapper. Maybe I should pay her a visit, except her husband looks like a faker and would probably bash me hahaha

In one of her blog entries she writes that with "his MS" he sometimes can still walk around and do things around the house but people would possibly be judgmental if they saw him...I just can't get over how far this woman went if she is a pretender...

I was hoping you would weigh in DG. From what I can see she isn't photoshopping herself into a power chair. There is an video of her in 'her kitchen' that has a sink that lowers and cabinets that pull down. There are lots of pics of her with her kids and husband too. All of that stuff together would be hard to fake with computer tricks. There is no doubt that she is a fake but what makes me so curious is how much of the time she spends wearing all that equipment and how she is paying for all of it (other than the fake gofundme). Maybe I'm being naive but this is the most elaborate and thorough faker I have come across.
I agree Dani, hubby is a fake too as well as her daughter who apparently now has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and also wears a backbrace.

In one line in the article it says: "her neck was like that of a 70 year old and her spine a 65 year old." This part is just ridiculous. It's as if they're saying that human bones just start to disintegrate once you hit 65. Hell.... my mother is 66 and my father is 70 this year and their necks and spines are doing just fine. It might have been more believable if they had said late 80s or early 90s and even then she still wouldn't really need to wear a neck brace. In any event, I agree with the general consensus, the more you read about her supposed medical condition, the less believable it is. I am getting the impression that she might be doing this partly to gain sympathy/attention and partly to scam people willing to donate to her "wheelchair fund" out of hard earned money.

The thing that really bothers me about this and makes me keep coming back to this thread is that it reads like someone's elaborate casting/bracing fantasy, like almost to a T. I don't go looking for that stuff anymore, but in the earlier days of the internet, probably before I'd ever read the word "devotee" I got drawn in by some sites that had huge collections of stories that read just like this one. I would read them because as far as I could find, there was nothing else out there, but they were wild and far-fetched like this one, almost seemed like torture or punishment on some level, and always filled with detailed quasi-medical explanations that probably wouldn't hold a drop of water to anyone who actually worked in the medical profession.

I posted one question on her Blog and it was erased the next time I refreshed the page. I would never contact her but to me she is mentally ill and I can't get over the fact that she may be pulling her family into this charade. I feel bad for the children. It is one thing to have a brace or cast fetish but what she does is way overboard...and it is freaky!

Why you have to wear arm casts and arm braces for a spinal condition...I just can't get over it...

I googled her and there is an imgur account with photos of her in different casts, -you probably saw it too. But the account name is also used on a devotee + pretender forum so they might also have been posted by an admirer.
(While I do think it is all very very fishy; yes there are people with ms who only needs to use wheelchairs part time)

Yes I was just telling my husband that last night. It's SO much like all those stories that I came across back in the day when there wan't much else to find. There is someone else telling the person what they have to do and the person doesn't want to do it but they do because its what they have to do. I also can't get this craziness out of my mind but I'm not sure there is anything else more to do. I just hope that the family is made up or and not as entwined into it as she says.

While I really have no problem with people pretending, it does bother me when they try to draw others into the fantasy. People have feelings, and most don't like being fooled. In a way its like this: imagine a guy in drag; nobody really cares, but when the guy in drag persuades you to rush him to the hospital because he's having "labor pains" you just might be troubled at that point.

There's no way this woman is suffering in the way she says she is, as Dani says what's with the braces? Also the adaptations on the home must of cost many many thousands, I know genuine quads who would be so grateful for just a few of the adaptions she has in her home, definitely a fake, it fucking infuriates me to boiling point when people with genuine disabilities just get on with life as best as they can, try and get any adaptations in the UK now and I'm sure with all the cuts it would be a resounding no. And her funding page is asking for $400,000, definite game player.
