There's usually not that many wheelers where I live but it gets really busy with tourists during summer. A couple of days ago I saw a cute guy (around my age I think) cruising through town in his wheelchair. I didn't go talk to him or anything because I was with a friend and I'm too socially awkward, but it was still very exciting Wouldn't it be nice to see him again! Maybe you will shoot him in the same place and he will notice you admiring him. 🙂

I was on a nightstop in another city with work yesterday and popped out for some lunch. As I walked up to the door of the restaurant a very nice para guy with 2 friends got to the door ahead of me. 40ish, masculine, very fit. While we were waiting to be seated I was standing right beside him. He was stretching his arms across to the opposite shoulder and at one point was rubbing his left pec through his tight black tee-shirt with his right hand. Very nice. The waiter showed them to a table at the back of the restaurant. When he came back and tried to give me a table at the front I said I would prefer a table at the back. He put the menu on the place setting on one side of the table but I sat at the opposite side, he must have wondered what was going on. I had a VERY nice view but don't ask me what I ate. Lol! R. Who needs food when you've got eye candy ! 😍 Thdt is so cool. Good thinking to ask for a back table. I would have had a great time but not tastex anything either lol

Aaand now another guy who’s profile goes like: My right arm doesn’t work properly because of an accident. I love that people actually write these things on their profile! Makes it so much easier for us. But he wasn’t my type, even with the plus points his non-working-arm gave him, so left swipe it was! Same problem most of the time... if I happen to find on tinder one of the 0.01 % of people that happen to meet my attraction disability-wise, they are not my type in all other aspects of what else would attract me. But since we‘re here in the thread wheeler spotting, I want to add that a really nice coincidence brought be back into writing contact with a quad that lives close by. We met on a dating site last year but both our situations were probably not right for us to meet at that point of time. So yeah back to writing and hopefully finally a meeting in person after my vacation. I don’t believe in coincidence...

I was visiting a museum with my boyfriend at the weekend and there was another para there with his son I guess. Everywhere we went he was just in front of us. On the platform lift, looking at the next exhibit, going down in the glass lift (oooh Matron). He had a low backed chair with fixed handles and we never saw him do a single wheelie. No skills at all. Rubbish.

Earlier in the summer I was biking through a busy part of downtown, when I see a wheelchair ahead, going in the same direction on a crowded sidewalk. As I get closer, from behind, I make out that this person is of the opposite sex, is not old, and there's nothing on the foot pedals. I pass him and look back - it's a great looking guy (just a tad pudgy), whose around my age and is a high DAK.
My heart starts racing and I go into dev creep mode. I scramble off my bike, lock it to a poll and start following him. Like I said, dev creep mode. I'm not proud.
Slight aside - I smoke every now and then - I actually find smoking very sexy, and weirdly I get turned on when I get a nicotine hit. I also think wheelers smoking is incredibly hot. One of my favorite fantasies is sharing a cigarette with a wheeler.
Anyway, one of the best things about smoking is that it makes starting conversations with other smokers easy. You just ask for a light or a smoke.
So as I'm struggling to keep up, I'm thinking how amazing and terrifying it would be if he stopped to smoke, and I would have at my finger tips a conversation with a perfect DAK.
And about a minute later he pulls into the enclave of a building and starts searching through his pockets. Out comes a pack and I almost faint.
At this point, I'm lurking about 30 feet back, muttering to myself, trying to work up the courage. And I do it! I go up and ask if he could spare a cigarette, which he's delighted to offer. My hands are literally shaking. He was wearing sorta modified stretchy yoga style pants with shorts over them and it looked AMAZING. We made very small talk, while I stuggled to get a hold of myself and not make things so obvious, and then it was over quickly. Sigh...

Too bad that it was over too fast in the end.

Unexpected wheeler sightings are always nice!
Out shopping for work right now and a wheeler rolls right by me. I take a second look and whew...he’s cute. Heart thumping, mind racing-I start following behind him watching him push...strong shoulders -oh my 😉!! Watched him for a brief couple of minutes (didn’t want to stalk 😂) then moved on. Needless to say, my dev head is going crazy!!!!

I saw a guy today at the store getting in his car. Today he was using forearm crutches and I saw he was wearing braces under his pants. I have seen him before in the same store in front of me at the register in a wheelchair but he was with a woman. Another time I saw him rolling along on the sidewalk with that woman, he was in a wheelchair at that time too. I was sitting at the traffic light but was able to watch him for a while. I am assuming low level para or possibly Polio...intriguing to me... He is older, probably in his late fifties but looks pretty good for an older dude. And then again...I am not a youngen anymore either so an attractive older PWD is a nice thing to see. I don't feel as much a dev cougar then...

Ive noticed that as ive got older my dev feelings arent so strong. I think its because it feels a bit weird to watch younger pwd's and there seem to be far less older ones. Especially attractive older pwd's. Has anyone else felt this way ?

On PD and in real life they seem to be mostly younger. I do find the younger ones attractive but if I wanted to date, it would not really be realistic to expect to go out with them. It would have to be someone closer to my age and they seem pretty scarce.

Last weekend I was sitting in the car waiting while my friend ran into a restaurant, when two scruffy looking guys in their early 30s start walking through the parking lot towards the restaurant. And one of them is a high arm amputee, with a very short stump, basically he had a shoulder knob with an inch of stump that he could manipulate. I’m not usually an arm amputee gal, but every now and then everything’s just right if you know I mean....the level of his amputation was perfect and he was wearing one of those tight white undershirt. You could tell by the way he moved and carried himself he wasn’t uptight at all about his arm, it was loud and proud, which was just so hot.
Once my friend came back I said I had too use the bathroom in the restaurant, where he’s now gone into. They were basically leaving as I entered and we crossed path, he was holding his take out bag between his stump and body while he fished through it, which I just loved.
