Same thing happened to me with a dev a long time ago, it's what led me here. It's not karma, just life. You'll be fine.

It's all too easy to look back on relationships which didn't go to plan in a negative light. But whatever negativity is there, there's always something positive to salvage from it. It might not be obvious, but it's there.
In this case I'd say it was something of a cautionary lesson. Not karma.
You (general term) learn new things everyday, be it about yourself and others. Having relationships break down or take a bad turn is often a good time to evaluate yourself and how you can come or have came across in the past.
At least, that's what I get from this.

I think she related it to karma as in knowing what she was doing wasn’t right for feelings and yet feelings eventually won. Karma may not be the best word but I get the premise just trying to external all the internal thoughts.
