Don’t know how many of you guys outside of the UK and Ireland saw this but if you haven’t its worth a read. Talk about making my blood boil. Totally disgusting how this woman was treated and the person that did it has of yet not lost their job. >>>>>CLICK HERE<<<<<

Not only is that just ridiculous to even ask of her, but what kind of asshole announces something like that on the freaking speaker?! I also would have been absolutely mortified. Hopefully that douche faces some serious repercussions. He should be publicly shamed and see how he likes it

Yeah, announcing that on the speaker was particularly egregious... I'm pretty sure that conductor is going to lose his job. Good riddance.

I see only one solution: The train employee must be made to use a wheelchair... Permanently.

Normally I'm the first to criticise disabled people and their whining, and to be honest when I heard about this video I rolled my eyes. Then I watched it...
This woman has every right to be upset and outraged. The way she was treated was 100% unacceptable.
Here in the UK wheelchairs (I assume this extends to scooters) have all the rights when it comes to public transport. People are required by law to fold up/remove prams in order to make space for a wheelchair user, even if the pram was there first.
The guard announcing that shit over the tannoy was shocking. The only reason to do that is to humiliate and shame the disabled woman. She did nothing wrong, so his shaming isn't even remotely justified. Scumbag.
Fortunately I've never experienced this kind of hostility myself here. I understand her anger, but I think her claim that there's something wrong with this country is a bit much. Obviously I don't know what she's been through, but in my experience people in the UK usually bend over backwards to help cripples like myself.

Thankfully, I've only had overwhelmingly positive experiences in the public arena in terms of having people accommodate my scooter and I. Maybe I've been super lucky, but in all my 39 years I've never run into an ignorant asshole like the guy in that video. To all my fellow PWD's, have you had experiences with bad seeds like the train employee?
