Hi guys and girls, I have introduced myself once before but it was a very feeble attempt and not in depth. so I am going to try again. I'm a 27-year old male with a incomplete spinal cord injury at the C4 5 level after a mountain bike accident.
I'm now 6 years post injury and would say I have managed to continue with life quite positively after my injury. I used to work as a mechanical engineer but obviously couldn't continue my career after the accident so I went to college and studied 2D and 3D CAD. I have a wheelchair accessible vehicle and play powerchair football as a hobby. I enjoy cooking and baking, brownies are my go to treat. Last year I started my own small business. i try to enjoy the outdoors as much as accessibility will allow it. I occasionally volunteer at my local spinal unit doing talks on how life is when you leave hospital, hopefully helping some people feel more confident about leaving hospital as I know I felt it was quite a daunting thing whilst I was at the unit! I am looking to chat with people and see if I have a good connection with them if any of this interest you feel free to message me 😊

lol. Im a statistician myself and there are several engineers here, and a couple mathematicians iirc. Plus plenty of others I'm sure lol. Hope we see more of ya around the board!
