@tykes, thank you. Was sitting here just stewing with a lot of the same emotions but as usual, you were able to say it so much more eloquent and passionate. Bravo!

I might be the only nerd here into choir music (except @tc123, I know she's a choir nerd too ). But thought I'd share this song, because it is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life. We sang this arrangement when I was in college (the James Erb arrangement, though Chanticleer changes the arrangement a bit here). I really love when the counter tenor comes in at 1:45, that's when it starts giving me chills lol. There are a lot of versions and arrangements of this song (Bob Dylan has a version). This is one of the best IMO. Count me in to the choir nerd club too. Also Baroque music which I've gotten numerous weird looks for. That is so beautiful. Thanks

Well today is my 46th birthday and I have been in my wheelchair 28 years this September. The extent of my break was that I was only given 17 years, so I’m grateful. Yesterday I had a party in my garden surrounded by my cousins with there children and I can still remember my cousin’s as children playing in the garden of my grans. To all you guys with sores, I brought a cream that clears them up in a couple of weeks, message me for details. This month I’m getting fitted up for mouth controls wheelchair and I’m going to my British Army reunion which will be strange. I am one of the most disabled men in my old Regiment and I’m worried sick. I’ve started a online poetry course, I’ve written hundreds over the years and it’s nice to learn more. This is going to be a great month for me… umm hopefully, Pete Happy Birthday Pete. 🎂🍺🎂

The other day I revisited one of my favorite albums that I hadn't listened to in a while while I was at the office. Blind Pilot's "3 Rounds and a Sound". It always gives me the feels, but for whatever reason, this particular day, listening to it just brought this crazy strong wave of emotion and made me start crying. In the office. Lol luckily I had the moment to myself and it felt good in a way to release a bit. Heading to see them in couple weeks. Can't wait.

Anyone else always do the forums in the same order or is it just me? General, devs, photos, personals, and only sometimes, stories. Who says I have OCD? 😁 R. Ha, me too. But I go dev first , then bottom up from there 😄

Never discussed it with friends. Don't think I ever would unless I meet a guy worthy of outing myself for. R. Same here. Would need to be very serious about a guy to out myself. Even my friends do not know about the wheelers I have met. My ex knows and my youngest son looks at me a little strange sometimes because of my movie and reading material. And he knows I have 2 " friends" both in wheelchairs. He never has come out and asked. I'm sure it never clicks that this is a thing.

I've been approached by a few well-intentioned elderly people with the odd "May God bless you," but that was in Alberta where the devout religious types are more prevalent. This kind of thing is a rare occurrence in Canada. But the one time, the one time, that I was affected by a scenario like this was when I was approached by a psychic panhandler in Cuba at a resort. She told me that I must've done something terrible in a past life to have ended up in a wheelchair in this one, and that she would pray for me. It was the only time that I genuinely felt aggravated by a stranger in this type of situation. Essentially, what she was saying was that my life was some sort of penance doled out by the universe; a cosmic atonement for the actions of another. That I was the embodiment of some divine reparation and, basically, that my life was a toss-away to fulfill that redemption. And that shit turned me straight icēēēē ❄️❄️❄️❄️ Wow...did you reply to her?
