maybe not...but matching those tones while keeping the color clear and bold is not easy; especially as that looks like oils. you've got a really strong, painterly style, but accurate too. arent you violating copyright by making and selling copies tho? eh yes...maybe that's why pics were deleted...

And I keep in touch with Luke Chueh from time to time - I got his attention when I started sending him Chueh tattoos I'd done. I've sent him every copy-cat I've ever painted in the hopes that he'd put one in the "Sightings" section of his website. If he intends on suing me, I hope he lets me know sometime soon. *Edited to wonder - why would I put the pictures back up for you if that's why I supposedly took them down in the first place?

Wow! Thank you Chan for introducing me to a great artist. I had never heard of Luke Chueh before. After seeing your tributes (they're so beautiful, I hate to call them rip-offs!) I looked him up. I found some fascinating pieces. I find that I'm not really adept at what the artist's own meaning is behind a lot of these, but I guess that's what makes great art great...you take away your own meaning.

It's a well done pic, though I am not a fan of B&W. I find it too contrived.

I actually find B&W photography to be rather refined; sometimes it's nicer not to be bombarded by so many colours. Leonard Nimoy came to my city and put on an exhibit of art of B&W exclusive photography, it was rather interesting.

the only thing that distracts a bit is the gray smudge in the backgrond behind your nose; might've been better as solid black. but, do you smoke at all? i can see that a big exhalation of smoke would add depth and interest. maybe. also, this angle shows your highly unusual facial features. it reminds me-just offhand-of that famous bust of queen nefertiti... and speaking of bust; i'm betting that's a bikini top you're wearing...so lets see the pics showing that, eh?

I even had a another type of vest/coverlet thing on, but he wanted to have some of my tattoos in the shots so I took it off. But I literally don't let him take any pictures I would be embarrassed to have a future employer or my family run across, which would include bikini shots. As for the smoke puff, you're right, it would give the photo a little something extra. But I never picked up smoking.

It's an interesting pic but yeah, I call it contrived like most B&W. People should be trying to increase the color in pics (HDR), not get rid of it.

Each to their own but I really don't think HDR is a great idea for portraits! It would certainly have the potential for making some freaky looking people, but check these out, they seem cool to me. abduzeedo.com/awesome-hdr-portraits
