It's been a while since we had a more fantasy-focused topic and I thought, why not??
For my SCI devs,
which is the bigger turn-on/attraction?
the "stillness" (as described so eloquently in the famous thread of the same name) -- paralysis, lack of movement or volitional movement
OR
the "numbness" -- lack of sensation
Put another way: if your imaginary SCI partner could only have one of those two traits, which would you choose? For purposes of this thought experiment, let's imagine that the gentleman in question has no preference about this and would be equally happy in any scenario, and that the movement/sensation is in whatever parts of the body you prefer. So, which is more alluring: the guy with sensation but no movement, or the guy with movement but no sensation?

I would also argue that the unintentional movement is just as attractive as the stillness, AND that the adaptation is probably even more attractive than all of the above.

I had to think about that for a moment; I picked the "stillness". For me, the inability to move has always been fascinating. I want to understand how the brain doesn't communicate with the affected limbs anymore; in my devotee preference, it's the legs. It's not so much the hands or arms, but for me, it has always been about the legs not moving anymore, but then the involuntary spasticity just makes me crazy. Not being able to move is a turn-on for me, so my devotee interests are probably indirectly connected to that.

It’s the stillness 100% for me.
Stillness of the non-moving parts in stark contrast with the full range of movement of the working parts. Beautiful opposites in one body.

Both. I’ve always been fascinated by the sensation part of sci too. Tracing your fingers to locate where he can/cannot feel, trying to understand what the “feeling” he gets in the spots of transition and heightened senses in other spots, etc. Both are part of the attraction to me.

I think the stillness in a sense, although not complete stillness for me. For me it's about the kind of movement where a part of the body is slower to catch up with the others, because it's partly still, but it still moves. Although I occasionally have lack of sensation in my fantasies, but it's accompanied by the above.

Also, it just popped into my mind randomly that I think for me it would be more accurate to say "stiffness" than "stillness". hmm...

I went with the stillness. There’s always been something about a guy’s feet sitting so perfectly on his foot plate. I always remember a scene from Joan of Arcadia when they are in depositions and going to a flash back and they zoom in on Kevin’s feet under the table before going to show the last moments before the accident. Whew, gets me every time.
