Hi, I'm Mike! I'm 41 years old and I'm from Massachusetts. I'm disabled I have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I was diagnosed back in the 80s when I was 2 years old. I was able to walk up until I was about 9. Over the years I've lost most of the use of my body. However despite all that in my life I'm still very happy and grateful to be here. I'm pretty cool to hang out with and interesting to talk to I also have a great sense of humor. I'm here for friends right now. I'm just looking for an able-bodied younger womam who is friendly, down to earth, and open minded and has a great sense of humor. Basically I want someone to talk to and/or hang out with. I also have a fun challenge to raise awareness of Muscular Dystrophy that’s really important to me, so I’m looking for a girl to take part in that with me. Anyway, if you have any questions for me please feel free to send me a message!
About the challenge. It's pretty simple. All you have to do is sit in a chair (because it's a little slippery) and put your feet into a tub of shaving cream. Then challenge 3 of your friends to do a video of it too as soon as they can. Or instead donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. It's kinda like the Ice Bucket challenge. The reason the challenge is putting your feet in shaving cream is mostly for accessibility and inclusiveness. Anyone can do the challenge, including people with disabilities like myself, with a little help. Many of us could NOT do the Ice Bucket challenge because of our equipment and the freezing water could make those of us with weakened immune systems sick.
Here's my YouTube channel.

Welcome to PD! Can you explain a bit more about the challenge? Hi! Sure I can
It's pretty simple. All you have to do is sit in a chair (because it's a little slippery) and put your feet into a tub or pile of shaving cream. Then challenge 3 of your friends to do a video of it too as soon as they can. Or instead donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. It's kinda like the Ice Bucket challenge for ALS. My PCA and I used to do it all the time and we got pretty creative. We did one for every holiday with colored shaving cream.
The reason the challenge is putting your feet in shaving cream is mostly for accessibility and inclusiveness. Anyone can do the challenge, including people with disabilities like myself, with a little help. Many of us could NOT do the Ice Bucket challenge because of our equipment and some of us have temperature sensitivity to cold temperatures.
Here's a general idea of what to say. It doesn't have to be exact -
"Hi, I'm ____! I'm doing Mike Riley's Shaving Cream challenge to raise awareness for Muscular Dystrophy. It's easy. All you have to do is put your bare feet in shaving cream or donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. I'm challenging ___, ___, and ___ please try to do this in 3 days. Let's go viral! Also, please sit when you put your feet in because it's slippery"
Can I post a link to my YouTube?

Thanks for the explanation. I'm not sure what the protocol is for YouTube links. I think it's allowed but a moderator may be able to answer this
