I just had this lightbulb moment where I realized I may have hit a big dev milestone and not even noticed it.
I was at a gathering tonight and was talking with a group about how I have finally been diagnosed with sleep apnea, and a friend of mine (who also has sleep apnea) said that using a CPAP is like "life being on cheat mode" for him because of how much its improved things.
But he also started joking about how, "we know a CPAP's not sexy, we just have to accept that" etc etc, and I said to the group that I like it and think it's cute (which I totally do in a full on devvy way).
So, it probably came across as me sharing that as a person with sleep apnea herself, but, it still feels like growth to openly share a devvy thing to a whole group of people and feel totally fine about it.
So I thought I'd post the question here... have you ever had a moment like this? If yes, how did it feel for you?

I can't say I've had this exact experience among friends who don't know I'm a dev, but I'm glad you have! I do know that when something like this happens among friends who know, I love being able to make a comment like yours that lightly and casually references what I find sexy, and how that's a bit different from expectation.
