Hello Everyone,
I have recently come to terms with the fact that even though I am still an “average SCI dev”, my devness also focuses on high quads. Coming to terms with this fact has been very hard since those injuries are very severe and the quad almost everytime will be dependent on someone for the rest of his life. As I said coming to terms with being into something that others are suffering from is incredibly hard and almost impossible. But chatting with someone here on Paradevo has helped me a lot. So now I thought that there may be other devs like me on here who feel the same way. So I want to start a kinda group chat of devotees of high level Sci’s. If you want to be a part of this chat feel free to comment below or direct message me, if that makes you feel more comfortable, because I totally understand that since writing these lines right now are very hard for me too, because I am for the first time opening up myself about that feeling to these many people!!

Thanks for posting! I am similar in that I am drawn to PWDs with varying levels of SCI, including high quads (vent dependent, etc).

I too have struggled with reconciling this. I think something that has helped me is recognizing that while I find myself very drawn to something that has without a doubt caused pain and suffering for this person, I also fully and completely want all the best for them. I want them to be happy above all else - for example, as for the age old question, if there was a cure and they wanted to take it, I would 1000% support that (i.e., it is most important to me that they are happy and fulfilled, in whatever form that takes for them).

So, I feel that it actually can be a really amazing dynamic, if everyone has worked through their stuff and come to a good place where they can explore the attraction in a way that is healthy and mutually beneficial.
