Anybody here, are you an artist or a photographer by profession or by hobby?
What are your favorite subjects, and why?
Does your disability influence the subject. Is it featured on all of your projects or only some of it?
Do you showcase your own disability only or do you also feature other disabilities too?
Are there any interest in the disability related arts?

Art is a hobby and creative outlet for me. Yes, my preferred disability (paralysis) features heavily in my drawing; although it's not the only thing I draw it's usually the most inspiring thing. I am primarily interested in drawing the human face/body in a variety of styles and media. I find that being a dev helps me narrow my focus a bit and avoid "blank page panic." Over the last year I've been gradually learning how to use different software like ProCreate for digital illustration.

I do both, but my disability doesn't influence any of my drawings or photography subjects. I prefer natural things; landscapes, animals, etc for photography.

Art is really a good outlet to express ourselves and let our desires be known.
Funny thing, during my college years, I never liked and hated with a vengeance anything to do with the anatomy of a human body. In fact, we art students could first never draw properly the perfect ratio of the parts of the body, so invariably we had a lot of crooked hands, extra long or short legs, etc... and our teacher would make us to do it all over again quite a number of times. Looking back now, I realized that all we drew were the disproportionate bodies which are and can be true. Fortunately, I perfected my drawing skills now. Currently my art tends to lean towards the abstract or nature themes. I do experiment a lot with different themes which inspires me and encourage me to branch out.
I love digital art and in fact most of my works are rendered digitally in an Ipad.

Nature is also one of my favorite to try and capture on the canvas, especially involving the weather conditions or the seasonal colors etc...
I love wildlife photography, it teaches you to be patient and quiet when clicking a snap of some animal or a bird. And if you are lucky, see some really wild animals at their finest moments.
I have been lucky to capture some good shots and also had some of the experiences which were quite unforgettable too. LOL. Like during one twilight evening, being out so late I forgot the time. Then suddenly I heard some rustling in the treetops and in the bushes, at that time I didn't take it seriously, thinking it to be a bird on the tree or a small animal in the bushes. Instead to my shock, when I realized what it was, I was being chased by a wild boar, well I managed to escape unhurt. That was when I said to myself, not to be out in the dark in the wild woods. Whew. It was some experience!

Luckily, other than a red-winged blackbird that didn't want me within a kilometer of its nest, I've not been been attacked or bothered by any wild animals while photographing. Glad you were okay

Glad you were okay I'm happy to know that you haven't been attacked or bothered by any creatures. They are definitely not so good experiences to go through.
BTW, that wasn't only one experience which was nasty, I also had some other equally more terrifying encounters like being dive-bombed by an owl, swooped upon by flock of bats and a family of swallows, stared at by a venomous green viper at a very close range, etc... Some of the funny ones are - being pecked by a jungle fowl and being bitten and pecked by many other different birds, scratched by a pole cat, sneezed at by a elephant. Ewww, he literally blew his nose at me - it was a mountain size amount of mucus. LOL. That was a disgusting experience I will never forget etc...
But I still love going out to spend time in the nature and capturing those beautiful rare animals and got to experience some beautiful memories of them.

Yeah most of the animals here where I am at are a lot less worrisome.

Well I didn't think I would talk about this since it kinda narrows me down a lot. But who cares at this point right?
I am film student who also works as a part-time photographer. I am in my last years of college already.

Not really, you guys have vicious grizzlies, hungry and curious black bears, huge alligators, packs of wolves and coyotes, troublesome raccoons etc...

That's great! Nice to meet you.
During my college days, I majored in Computer Graphics and one of the subjects we covered and had to learn was film-making and animation. Those subjects were really cool. Remember watching 20 or more movies again and again for our studies and discussion etc..
And the best part was not studying much, just fooling around in the photo and film studios all day. LOL!
Also my thesis was on "The Role of CGI in Movies", therefore had a blast doing it.

Hahaha that's fun, since mine is a big 5 year degree in film and audiovisual arts, we do have that fun running around with camaras, but way more "social studies, communication theory, art history, somietics, research methodology in arts and stuff like that" and well a lot of lighting, sound and composition theory. I really love it tho

Well that's spread out over the entire United States. Where I live, we've had only a handful of black bear sightings over the last half century, nor wolves. We do have coyotes and I've seen them run across my street but attacks from them are exceedingly rare. Alligators are too far south of me to be a concern. We do have raccoons but they're more interested in stealing our garbage than tangling with a human.

Art History was one of my favorite and still is my favorite. I just loved reading about it especially the art around the world and how it evolved. I also remember communication theory, research etc... We also had foundation on color theory, nature studies, painting human models esp some nudes, human anatomy was also emphasized upon, advertising was a very interesting topic too. Oh those were the days... Thanks for helping me remember them.

Lol, raccons are like that! I would say pretty interesting wildlife. I love wolves, I still remember hearing them howl at night and how my parents would try to scare me to eating dinner and putting me to sleep early without a fuss. They would say a wolf will enter the house and snatch you away whenever they howled during the dinner time. But I wasn't scared by that tactic, on the contrary that I wanted to join them!! And yes, I know US is pretty diverse in landscape, flora and fauna etc... Would love to travel and see the East Coast, having visited only the West Coast.
