I am well aware of all the sufferings and pain that goes along with a disability, but I don't think I could deal with somebody whining all the time... ...yes, and that's where the difference between fantasy and reality is.

I am well aware of all the sufferings and pain that goes along with a disability, but I don't think I could deal with somebody whining all the time... ...yes, and that's where the difference between fantasy and reality is. I can see this point. The last serious relationship I had with a wheeler... omg what a whiner, with complete loss of self esteem and a very poor attitude about life.!!! And, when people would stare at us (after I stopped being emotional and angry about it), he would make comments like, "I'm half the man I used to be". That one was my favorite. On the flip side, I've dated AB guys that were huge whiners with low self-esteem and poor attitudes about life. We are all beautifully differant, dev, wheeler, or AB.

The fact, that for example transfers are so popular in the dev world points in this direction for me. I mean probably most of us agree, that we find transfers something very attractive, and to us beautiful. But objectively seen they aren't something very elegant. Now the question is, what makes them beautiful to us. And I think it is because the guy we are watching has to do something, that's very easy for an AB guy, in a much more complicated way. I just tried here to bring my last post in this topic to a more mild form, maybe this way more people can relate to what I mean.
