I've been reading this board, off and on, for 12 years(!!!), but have never posted before! I'm finally here to try to figure my shit out a little more! I have never told any friends/family/health professionals what I know about myself. This is the first time I have said it, even behind an alias: I'm a dev. So, hi!

OMG welcome! I love when we get posts like this! GOOD FOR YOU finally saying (typing) it. That's a big step! About how old are you, if you don't mind sharing?

Hi Bonniebrae, Bravo💪 for "outing yourself", 12 years is a very long time!! I am soon turning 45, I found the board age 32 and immediately signed up. It was amazing to find out there are other women out there who feel the same. It was also the reason I could finally "out myself" infront of my best friend in real life. And then it took another 10 years to be open about it much more, talk about it with many friends, but also at seminars I took because it was an important milestone in accepting myself. And still, it´s so weird sometimes to feel that way. But much less "weird" than it was 10 years ago. This board is great for reading lots and lots of great content on all different kinds of threads. Sometimes it can feel a little awkward in a sense of "who is out there?", sometimes it feels, there´s nobody because there's little respond... also, it´s all anonymous and you never know who the person really is that´s writing. However, be certain that many of us devs on here can relate a lot to what you were writing and what you are feeling, and it´s great to have each others back and support! So, welcome bonniebrae to PD!

Hello and congratulations! It's a hard thing to come out, even among people whith the same interests. I've been here from almost 8 years, even though I'm still shown as a "new member" haha. I think its 'cause I don't post much here, but I've brought up some topics. My devness fluctuates a lot, so sometimes I'm very active reading topics, and sometimes I can go months without coming here. Now I'm going to try to connect with more people because I'm feeling like it's consuming me.
