I'm so into guys with bad limps, even if they are kind of gross (Ratso Rizzo in Midnight Cowboy), or a lying conman (Verbal Kint in The Usual Suspects) or a teenager (Crutchie in newsies -- I'm talking about the adult man who plays him, though).
Is anybody with me on this?

Crutchy...that just tapped into a memory I'd completely forgotten about. For me it wasn't the limp (not usually my thing), but just the mystique of a visibly disabled character where we never get to find out more about him...

Mmm, for me its Kaz Brekker from six of crows, or more specifically, shadow and bone on Netflix.

There are two wolves fighting inside me, one that wants good disability rep, for justice! And one that just wants devvy content. The first wolf likes that crutchy is just allowed to be a part of the gang and the dance numbers, repping real life disabled laborers from back in the day without the weight of a tragic backstory. The other wolf wants to write 20k of fanfic about how hard it is to walk on cobblestones with a crutch in the winter.

I cannot TELL you the discussions I’ve had with my dev bestie about Crutchy. My god; that’s somehow even worse than all the characters named Wheels 😂

Omg yes! I mean tbh the "kind of gross" part does spoil it a bit for me, I'm quite particular about the type of person and the type of limp etc., but I want to support the limp team on this forum Kaz was great, they actually showed him limping up the stairs early on in the show and it was so good, I loved reading the books about him as well! Any other characters that come to mind?

Any other characters that come to mind? Have you read The Ever King? The male main character (Eric) has quite a pronounced limp that is mentioned often throughout the novels and how he deals with it. Also a great character in general in terms of his love for the female main character. Depends if you like fantasy romance or not I suppose!
