"Quid Pro Quo" must be THE film for this particular community! I understand that many people will take issue with some things in the plot. It's a controversial film for this crowd, no doubt. But no one can deny that it's totally unique in the way that it's about just what this community is about.
I was thinking that the main guy should have done some research about how to use a wheelchair. He gripped the wheels totally wrong. And you don't push a wheelchair with an open coat!

To be honest I have never even heard of it so had to look it up. Here is a link to the IMDb entry, including the film trailer www.imdb.com/title/tt0414426/

Do you know if it's available on any streaming platforms and if so where?

I was thinking that the main guy should have done some research about how to use a wheelchair. He gripped the wheels totally wrong. And you don't push a wheelchair with an open coat! Surely the point is that it should have been a disabled answer in the first place? There are plenty of them and they never get good roles. It's kind of the same as old school blacking up (why people using make-up to play the role of a person of colour). Or for that matter, straight people "playing gay". I know there are arguments that say that if you are a good method actor you should be able to play any role, but this seems a bit of a classic example of the movie industry really not thinking about representation and authenticity

It looks like you can rent/buy it to stream on Amazon and YouTube (at least in the US).

Having explored further I'm not sure it's ever been released in the UK. Looking online on Amazon and eBay I can only define US versions (region 1) on DVD and Blu-ray, and Spanish versions.

I vaguely remember seeing it a long time ago, and thinking it was not very well researched and didn't really speak to my experience as a dev. Still, I think it's a good thing the concept was at least being explored -- even if only to give us a reference point to contrast with. I'm curious to give it a rewatch and see how my perspective might have changed.
