Yeah Tony in many ways I was one lucky gimp growing up. Transportation was never a problem and I'm sure I took it for granted having my choice of rides at the time... Still miss that 'Cuda convertible though. But the freedom that my first Brown Chevy van gave me definately helped shape who I am today. It got me to classes in college, allowed me to have a night life and more relationships than any vehicle I've owned before or after. Now my couch is in my living room in front of the plasma TV although I have another three couches on my Suntracker Party Barge pontoon because I'm blessed enough to live on a lake and in Minnesota we don't have ice all over it in the summer...I guess my couch lives on!

I used to drive a Ford Escort using a four way joystick with ultra power steering and automatic transmission. I was the first in the UK to pass a driving test using such a system. My driving and car were featured on the TV series "top gear" in 1991. I eventually had an accident which was always inevitable as the steering was ridiculously light. Decided not to bother after that as I could not live with myself if I had injured others just because I wanted to drive. Fortunately I did not! I will look out some pictures some time but they are buried deep in a cupboard somewhere.

Holden is the same as Vauxhall in the UK, it's the same company but different badges and names for different countries, Holden, Vauxhall, Opel etc

I've had alot of cars. Let's see there was the first two minivans that I destroyed (stupid puny engines), the old 80's cop cars (those were fun as hell), a buick century, a mercury grand marquis, and now I'm back to a minivan again. This one should last a little while as I don't drive quite as crazy as I did when I was younger
