What do people think about having different sections? Should the wheelers have our own section too?
Personally I feel that it is only dividing us by having seperate sections. Even though everyone can read them it appears to be a touchy subject if comments are brought up. There are some good talking points being brought up in the Devs Only thread but I now feel I can't talk about them.
What do you all think?

That's been my thought for ages. I don't see that happening, though.

Hi E mate,
We (Devs/Wheelers) go together and need each other's imput on the board is how I feel. I now feel guilty for bringing subjects up that are from the Devs Only section. Whereas before we all used to talk freely and openly together.

my thought is that if its a subjecxt the devs want our input into they will post the subject here...the fact that they dont tells me its something they wish to discuss, only, among themselves...the only time i checked out the devs only forum i found that there wasnt really anything being discussed there that was of interest to me...

I know what you are saying Mr. What happens if its something someone else would like to talk about too? Should it be off limits?

Why not bring the general subject up here, if you want to talk about a specific issue here? No need to name any names. I'd be open to that. I agree that we need more good discussion.

I do fully respect it don't get me wrong. Although we also shouldn't feel that we can't talk freely. If that's the case there is no point in coming here.

That sounds harsh, but quite seriously, if you can't keep quiet on topics you have no business talking about, then that's an issue with you, not the board.

I am not getting what perplexes people, and what is so complicated about the Devs Only section.
It is Devs Only, just as it reads. There's plenty of board for everyone else to talk about what they want to freely, if that is what they so choose.
The site was made for Devs, I honestly think it's a little sad that people are constantly delving into the forum even just for reading, if they aren't Devs. It's their private conversations, leave them alone. If you really want to know something about the Devoteeism topic, post it in the general thread, if any Devs want to talk about it, they will.
If anyone as a wheeler wants to post something wheeler-specific, you can post it on the general thread, or if there is an extraordinary reason you don't want any Devs to read it, well you can make your own forum just exclusively for wheelers instead, if it really must be clandestine.
We can talk freely, but many of the Devs, don't necessarily want to talk freely. Just because being a Devotee may mean an attraction to some form of disability, doesn't mean they want to go sharing every little aspect of their attractions, etc. with the subject matter.
I don't think there is a problem with the (very minimal) segregation on the board. If there's something you're not seeing discussed on the board/you want to see more good discussions on the board, then go ahead and post something to get a thread started. No one's holding you back.

Well, he deleted his account. I feel guilty, somehow. don't. he seemed determined to make a mountain out of a molehill. i said, you said, and other people said there was no reason he couldn't start a topic of his own about anything under the sun. we just asked to not have it directly linked with a devs only discussion (or more importantly, with a specific dev!). i liked brendan. maybe he will be back. but he basically left because he didn't want to honour the devs' request to have one small place to talk to each other somewhat privately. that's his call.

There is always a problem with segregation, but there is never a problem with privacy or respect.

Well, he deleted his account. I feel guilty, somehow. Yeah, Claire, definitely don't feel guilty at all. ...he obviously had a problem with keeping out of a private area, and then on top of that ripped one of those private conversations out of the sanctum of the area, and exposed it in front of everyone, when that may have not been desired at all. I don't see why he had to take the drastic measure of deleting his account, but he can certainly come back. Perhaps after he realises it was a bit hasty to go packing. I think dolly put it best, he was making a 'mountain out of a molehill'.
