Yep, mine was manufactured in November of '94, so it has the old model. I killed the first dist doing donuts in the snow... why GM thought it would be a good idea to put the dist BEHIND the water pump at the bottom of the engine, I have no idea. ![::)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/eyesroll.png) And yes, it's a royal PITA to get to. (Ever had to change the spark plugs in a 4th gen?) I'll see if I can't run a vacuum hose to it - I should have thought of that before. My personal favorite GMism with that car though - OBD1 system with an OBD2 plug. ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) They've been gradually pussifying the maros in later years - the new ones just don't look mean enough IMO. Then again, it'd be cheating on my car if I said I liked the new ones, so I *might* be biased. Money pit, yes. But I grin every time I start it. It is a stupid design to put electronics near water, but that's GM for you. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Yes, I've seen plug changes in 4th gens. My buddies usually do them from under the car. The last one (passengers side, I think?) is nearly impossible, lol. Let me look for the quick fix for the new opti before you install the new one. It's not that hard to retrofit it, and it'll solve the design flaw. It'll be your last time fixing it...

Oh god, yes... that last plug... Had to literally lie across the engine. Tried it from the underneath, but my arms aren't long enough!!! GM certainly has its moments. I have to go on a site named after... a fiero? *twitch* Lol but thanks - that'll be a fun winter project! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Doesn't sound too bad, just time consuming. As is most LT1 work since there's NO ROOM under the hood.

GM doesn't own the patent on making things hard for fixing easy stuff, but it sure seems like it. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Their stuff's designed to go together easy on the assembly line. If it means that some schmuck needs to be a contortionist just to add washer fluid in it, so be it. ;D Now, this guy hitting a puddle didn't have an optispark car: It's a pretty mean prank to pull, but I laughed anyway. ;D

He/they'll have the 15 minutes of fame but a nice fine to go with it as the police are looking at dangerous driving charges. Apparently soaking children isn't illegal. LOL

WOW - stunning!! If only I was 10 years younger Id be chasing you down that beach If I were 10 years younger I'd still be way too old and bogged on the beach so not much chasing. obviously first I'd have to find a suitable beach type wheelchair then of course you added that but then I need one with a fast motor to catch that horse You look beautiful and dare I say so, damn HOT!!. and at the risk of sounding like a dirty old man I'll add "yes she does"

That sounds slightly dirty for some reason... ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) Hahaha oh come on you've never splashed pedestrians? Perhaps little kids is taking it a bit far... One of my windshield washer sprayers shoots right over the car - perfect for innocent bystanders on the sidewalk behind me!!! Or idiots on crotch rockets.

You don't want to strip the threads, that will truly suck ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) .

Did Balloon Boy make it to Oz? How about the dead guy in California that people mistook for Halloween decor?

Damn straight they're aluminum! ;D Lol yup there's quite an art to getting them in right when you can't see what you're doing.

How about the dead guy in California that people mistook for Halloween decor? Whaa?? Do you have a link to that story? Please tell me he wasn't sitting propped in a lawn chair in front of someone's house.

Oh Hell, no. ;D You KNOW you life sucked when you 'off' yourself and nobody notices your dead body for three days. You'd almost want to blow your brains out a second time just on principal. ;D

Did Balloon Boy make it to Oz? How about the dead guy in California that people mistook for Halloween decor? AB, we didn't get the dead guy story, although we have similar ones arise from time to time here. Social isolation is a dreadful thing. We did get Balloon Boy though. The cost to build a dinky storm chasing balloon is what, about $5,000? To have your 6 year son reveal on Larry King Live that it was all done for the show....friggin' PRICELESS!!!!
