A day at the track. Laying down some fresh lines... My new pet "Roomba", the robot vacuum. This little guy cleans my entire apartment in about 45 minutes then parks himself right back on his charger when he's done. He's a good little buddy. Although he doesn't say much, that's not always such a bad thing. What he lacks in conversation skills, he more than makes up for in reliability. My place has never been so clean!

Do you have to tell him to start cleaning or does he just sort of take it upon himself sporadically?

I've heard stories of people becoming disturbingly attached to those things...and doing disturbingly unnatural things to them... I've got one of those and yes it does do a good job..

I just thought I'd throw in an action shot! I'll be the first to admit that one can get rather attached to their Roomba, especially when it is one's only pet. Although, how "disturbingly" so, I can only imagine... I certainly have never thought of doing anything "disturbingly unnatural" to mine. Until now, that is! Thanks for the impure thoughts guys... now if I can just figure out how to get this little sucker up onto my lap...

Nice photos Sidney As for vacuum cleaners, I have a purple Dyson and it is heavy as h**l (11 kg). But it does the job efficiently. I would like a cleaner who could clean the kitchen and bathroom too. It doesn´t have to be a robot. A handsome man in an apron would do nicely.

...this little sucker up onto my lap... I question why I find you using the term 'sucker' for the vacuum utterly hillarious. I don't know, but I do.

This Roomba thang could really take off, maybe even replacing the state funded sex program for crips. Think about it...she'll never get tired of sucking, uh, to completion, and doesn't look all that bad for a vacuum cleaner.

...I'm your man, kinda!! hehe Your bathroon/kitch probably isn't accessible. ; ( Well, I have high standards of hygiene, so you might not fit in - at least your mind wouldn´t - lol ;D The kitchen is accessible, but it would be quite a journey from Florida to Denmark just to do a bit of dusting here and there, now wouldn´t it?

Furthermore, she´ll produce lots of fluff which would give the Roomba something to work with. It´ll be a win-win situation
