Does anyone else get sick of being so off and on like a lightswitch!? YES!! Totally sick of it, and no, you're not the only one! It is nice to have downtime, and to be able to focus on something else for a change. But when it's off, I feel like my life is kind of blah, and I miss that huge endorphin rush. When it's on, it's totally distracting and I feel like I waste hours of my life indulging it, on the other hand, when it's on sometimes I also feel energized and super creative. But it's so strange that it goes through cycles like this and it's frustrating that it's so totally unpredictable. Like you said, when I'm off, nothing really gets me going, but then sometimes, the slightest thing will start up the cycle again. I don't think it's hormonal either, since the cycles seem to last 3-4 months at a stretch, sometimes even longer.

hmmm...must be something really wrong with me... I don't really have on/off cycles... feels like it's continually on (though some days are stronger than others)

Nothing wrong with you Isabelle, we all experience it differently But based on earlier discussions, it does seem like some of us have these unpredictable on/off cycles. And for me, it's never completely off, but like you said, sometimes I feel it much more strongly. But Bananas, why did you delete your posts?? It makes me sad when people do that, because then it's really hard to tell what the original conversation was about. Was it because you thought people would criticize you for saying you wish you weren't a dev? Believe me, we've all had that thought, and I don't think anyone is judging you for that.

Sometimes being a dev is like a sugar high... up or down.. (okay, rarely down). Lasts for days, weeks, sometimes longer. Heather- don't give up finding that right guy. It is SO worth it!
