Did I mention I hate the snow and the cold? I want to move to a warmer country!! You can pick me up on the way. It's ridiculously cold and snowy here at the moment and since you have to pass by (at least somewhat) anyway, you might as well round me up and we can make a party of it down south ;D If you´re heading towards Florida or thereabouts, you can count me in ... we´ll bulk order the flight tickets! The reason for my travel is not the hot and humid weather, but because I want to see the attractions and such ... . Actually, I kind of like the cold and the snow - clear, fresh air, a bit of sunshine and everything covered in a white blanket - plus the snow slows us busy Danes down a bit . I just heard today - in the weather forecast - that in the forties, it was so cold in Denmark that our Great Belt froze completely and people could actually walk/ski (maybe even wheel ) from Funen to Sealand ...

The reason for my travel is not the hot and humid weather, but because I want to see the attractions and such ... . I'm more of a West Coast boy so a trip to Sothern California sounds like sweet music in my ear. I've got a few friends there that I am certain can lend us some wheels. So you can start checking out the bulk tickets any time now, Diva Actually, I kind of like the cold and the snow - clear, fresh air, a bit of sunshine and everything covered in a white blanket - plus the snow slows us busy Danes down a bit . I wouldn't mind it if I could go skiing but there are no hills here and the ridiculous amount of snow we have gotten in my part of the country doesn't really count for much. Though I was happy to be able to get to work this morning without having to beg someone to help me get to my car. It always feels so pathetic getting stuck in the snow, wheels spinning not going anywhere I just heard today - in the weather forecast - that in the forties, it was so cold in Denmark that our Great Belt froze completely and people could actually walk/ski (maybe even wheel ) from Funen to Sealand ... Yeah, I remember having seen old photos of that where they drove cars and horse-drawn carriages out onto the ice. We've still have some ways to go before that happens

(My guess is the Northern part of Jutland or upper part of Central Jutland?)

Actually, it's been rather cold even down here in Florida - so you might want to skip on to somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere...I swear the entire Northern Hemisphere seems to have been gripped by some crazy cold all of a sudden...
A SoCal beach party sounds pretty cool - I was just talking to someone how I've enjoyed my trips to Southern Cal.

No, I'm in the city (there's only one town in Denmark that - with a bit of imagination - can be called a city, the rest are towns or villages or perhaps even settlements) What I meant by "ridiculous amounts of snow" was ridiculously little snow if you wanted to go skiing.

No?! London? A few?! C´mon there must be someone from Canberra? Ah, I guess we´re all just a bunch of villagers, settlers and peasants then ... I just need to do this: KØBENHAVNER-SNOB! (that one doesn´t need a translation, lol). P.S. Don´t take the above too seriously ... ;D

Mt. Washington has the worst recorded weather on the planet (or so they claim) and I've been up there in early fall where it was below zero... and blizzarding... when it was sunny and sweater weather at the base. CRAZY! When I was a kid, I had a friend that knew a guy that worked in the weather observatory on top of Washington. It was pretty cool going up there. I use to climb it all the time. I believe that it has had the highest recorded sustained winds on the planet. And you're right, it can be tee shirt weather at the base but be nasty freezing cold at the summit. Every fall, someone gets in trouble climbing it for that reason.
