Lurker coming to the surface..

Hi all.

I've been a member here for about 5 yrs now. I just realised in looking at my profile that i've only ever posted twice and they were both back in 2005! I always came back to read the threads from time to time but I've been finding myself drawn back to the board more and more often in the last few months and I thought it was about time I get a bit more involved maybe. I have real desire to feel more a part of the community here and to get more comfortable with my dev side. I've started to embrace that side as I get a bit older instead of feeling uncomfortable and ashamed. Hopefully that progression will continue.

Thank you ladies. I do feel much better now that i've taken the leap to the active side of the board. You all seem so lovely and I feel very much at home here.

I know what you mean. I feel at home here too. And feels good to know someone else is dealing with the ashamed/uncomfortable feeling. Like finally I can talk about the dev side freely. I bet you'll feel more comfortable the more you talk about it. I did. Starting to feel like a bit of a lurker the last week tho. Every thread is so interesting I find easier to just read and enjoy then to contribute when I'm not sure if what I have to say will matter to anyone else. Ill add what I can here and there and I hope you do to!

I know exactly what you mean Samantha. I always thought I didn't have much to add to the discussion until I realised that if everyone felt that way there wouldn't be a board!! It's definitely a good feeling to be surrounded by people dealing with the same things as me.
