Thanks, because i surely meant no malice when typed it.  I`m not trying to arouse anything but the challenge within myself to write something different. Sure, a romantic interlude is part of the premise, but am looking at more into the character and motivation rather than just a physical enactment. Not really putting all that much thought into it, actually. When i do the parts i have so far i am literally just sitting down and typing and letting the story write itself, more stream of the moment than being story boarded or pre-plotted. Mostly positive feedback, but i am not doing it to impress or win any accolades, i`m doing it because i`m having fun doing it. And so it`s fine if it`s not anybodies read. Like everything, some will like, some will not. It really is up to the person to choose to follow it or not, i guess. Thanks for your time............................. |

Just going to make an observation here..................... I thought this was the story section, where it states it is a place to post stories and participate in group stories. So it would be nice if members refrained from social matters, as in they think someones view is wrong or they misinterpreted a previous post and providing facepalms. All you really are doing is hijacking the thread and may i say, comes across as small. If you have beef`s or disagreements with fellow members take it elswhere. Myself i would never do anything to impede anothers creativity, whether i liked the story or not, you are all free not to read it if it bothers you , but again, that`s just me...................................

Dude, seriously, you need to slow your roll. Have you actually read any of the other threads? They all get hijacked and misdirected. Isn't social interaction why we're here? If you don't like where a thread is headed, redirect it.

YES i went to other story threads, and none of the other story threads have people hijacking it off the subject as far as it went here. Mercy, I'm afraid you're effectively hijacking your own thread at this point. I understand your frustration at what happened, but I don't know if it is productive to lash out.
What I would suggest to you is that if you want to post your story unfettered, you can email it to me (paradevo at yahoo.com) and I can post it on the stories page. The benefit of this would be that you don't have to worry about your thread being hijacked and you can just make a post when there is an update. Also, the story will remain on the stories page for many future generations of devotees to enjoy.
The stories page currently gets 300 hits per day. There is a comment function and I forward all comments to the authors. Several other authors such as Bananas and Annabelle are doing this, and can confirm they receive comments from me.
PM me or email if you have any questions.

My intention was not to call for anyone's support. It was a rhetorical question. The point I was trying to make is that thread hijacking happens to EVERYONE. If the original poster wants to get it back on track, they post a relevant comment. No complaining and they don't take it as a personal attack.
I don't want to run you off and I don't give a shit about your views. But this is a friendly, "adult" community. We try to handle things with a bit more grace and restraint. You seem to have a chip on your shoulder and take everything as an affront to you and lash out unnecessarily.

Well, i thank you Lee.
The only thing i have to offer is if it is (paradevo) just a "dozen likeminded" people who are the dictating factor on the discuss or subjects of the threads, that`s too bad.
There is a need for a place like this and i think there are a lot of people who would be here if not for the wall they have to climb, if only in that they may have different ideas from just a dozen or so people. I keep hearing the "in crowd" state things like "people generally just post once or twice and they`re gone" and have read some of the derisive(as in the way to just let you know who has been here longer) posts to newbies. It`s starting to feel like "welcome to the club! What, you don`t agree with me? Leave!" And i mean that with all respect to what your original vision must have been for the site.
When i am in PM mode, as i do have a great relationship with several people via that (and all devotees) i have a great time. But on the general pages there is so much ridicule and sarcasm and "in the know" comments, how can one be in anyway expressive when the shadow of ridicule is looming overhead? I thought an escape to the story section would be a reprieve, but that wasn`t effective.
Personally, I know i have never posted to a member an opposition of their views or ridicule. I have only responded to criticism.
And now i`m thinking all the time all this has been about a dozen or so people? Just a dozen or so people ? hmmmmmmmmmmm

Mercy, Please get over yourself. There is not a control center of paradevo masterminds plotting ways to get you. I have seen in quite a few posts where you have made comments referring to members as rednecks, ignorant, uneducated, blah, blah, blah. I am not really going to put forth a concentrated effort to sift through and quote your posts verbatim, but you know what you wrote. I think every single member has had a thread hijacked at least once. I know I certainly have. Isn't that the nature of the human mind? We get side tracked, we become a little stream of consciousness and we lose track of the original topic at hand. The thread did not turn into an "I hate Mercy" thread, no one brought up anything negative until you started crying newbie discrimination from your state of paranoia.
I had to insert my two cents here because I think your antics are getting out of hand. You say that only the wheelers have voiced any problems they may have with you. Well, I certainly don't fall under that category. I have no problem with someone new coming in and posting worthwhile opinions, but to come in and needlessly stir the pot for the sake of it doesn't make sense. I don't really consider myself one of the senior members up in the control room. I post when I have something to say, and I read more often than I post. I think if you stuck around and really tried to get it everyone would have a different experience. Good Day.
