annabelle.... I'm gonna make myself sound like the total... I don't even know what to call it... but the words low maintenance would be involved somewhere... I don't own a compact. I don't even carry a purse. I hate them and keep my wallet in my back pocket, my cell phone in the front and some lip balm. I think I'm reasonably attractive... but I don't put much effort into prettiness...

Wow, Inigo. I'm kind of impressed. I don't think I could do anything without my purse. And if I didn't have my compact, I'd be constantly worried about having stuff stuck in my teeth.
How do you fit all your stuff in your pockets? Women's clothing generally has nonexistent pockets.

I don't like purses either haha. I put everything I need in my pockets... and it really bugs me when pants have pockets too small for my cellphone. Like really, why are the pockets even there?!

I'm like celesty... I pretty much just stick to the wallet, cell and lip balm... and my car keys. I have a tendency to try to check the pockets when I try on clothes. See where they are and how big they are. And I have a small brown and small black purse for those outfits that have absolutely no pockets. I know that it means my clothes don't hang like they otherwise would... but I'm willing to sacrifice that so that I don't have to tote the purse. I sometimes see really cool purses that I'd like to have... but... meh. I used to have some way cool ones..

I recently got in to the purse phase of my life, I'm a late purse bloomer. I carry very small purses, just big enough for my wallet, phone, keys, lip gloss and maybe a camera or sunglasses. I decided that keys and wallet are ok in pockets but when you have 3 things it's too much, unless you have a winter jacket.

I have the added problem of being a gay guy who isn't attracted to obviously gay guys.
At least if you ladies did get brave enough to flirt with a guy he'd probably be flattered whichever side he bats for.
If I see a wheeler who is clearly gay I won't be interested. If I try it on with a guy who looks straight, well he probably is straight and I'm likely to get a black eye. Combine that with everything you guys have said and my hope of finding the right man is somewhere between none and bob!

Robbb, that is tough. Your haystack is way deeper than ours. How do you even go about meeting guys like this?

Whats wrong with obviously gay guys? I am obviously not a gay guy, but I work with quite a few who could never date an effeminate, queen type. I think it's a pretty common preference in the gay world. Sorry, Robbb, I am sure you can answer this much better than I can.

Hey guys, don't be too sorry for me, I'm about the happiest person I know.
I guess the attraction thing is on the same lines of why to I prefer men? why do I prefer wheelers? blondes? etc, etc... I just do.
The only thing I can say is that to me being gay is just an attraction. I'm really am an average guy who might be attracted to a man, but I won't be attracted to a woman... simple. All of the other stuff that can go with a gay guy, clothes, makeup, swishing hips and so on is lifestyle choice. It's not what I choose for myself and it does nothing for me in others.
As for meeting guys, well there's the net, friends, social settings, sports, etc, etc, so there's always hope.
