I'm traveling on those days so I can't do it. The next weekend is Christmas. If the weekend is that important, I suppose we could try for the 11th and 12th but I'm not sure my copy will get here in time :/

my vote is definitely for mid-week book club chat. the dates/times devogirl posted sound great. i'm looking forward to it! (for me, personally, weekends are my busiest work days and are the least flexible. plus with holiday season being upon us, all of my fri/sat/sun nights are booked up with social things until the end of the year... and i expect i'm not the only one!) i'm also glad that we will have a chance to discuss on the message board first. this place is a great resource for untold numbers of devs that lurk, and devs yet to find us. i think even the senior members like to revisit threads/posts from time to time to remind ourselves that we are not alone in whatever we may be feeling at the time. chat is limited in terms of who can participate and when it's over, the exchange is gone. message board posts are gifts that keep giving. that being said, i'm really looking forward to chatting with you fabulous women in real-time too!

Well I do want to try to accommodate different schedules. It's just a busy month with the holidays and all. Is there a strong preference for a weekend? Also I just took a guess with the second chat time. Do you ladies in Europe or Australia have a preference?

Ok, thanks for your input everyone! I will open up a thread on Monday Dec. 13th. Actually I'll start it at midnight EST, so that will be Sunday night if you're staying up late.
First voice chat will be Tuesday Dec. 14 at 7 pm EST, 1 AM CET. Second will be Wednesday Dec. 15 at 1 AM EST (4 PM in Australia, I think). I tried to adjust the times to suit everyone better, but it's still not great for Europe, sorry. Are these times OK?
Can we have some volunteers to open up the chat rooms? And also someone pm me an invite, since I haven't done it yet.

Dont' worry, but I unsubscribe the Book Club this round ....these hours are not the best to have a clear mind Could be the next time

Sorry! We can have the first chat at 8 pm if that works better. Sorry about that Dolly!
As for the second chat, I tried to split the difference between EU and Australia time, but I didn't do a very good job. If there are people in the UK/EU who want to participate, we can change the time of the second chat. 9 pm CET would be 6 AM in Australia though. Any ideas?
I still haven't put the chat times in the calendar for this reason. If you really want to participate, please let us know what times would be better, especially for the second chat.
