i didn't want to stir the pot on the main board with this, but doe...posting the content of inigo's thread on the general board wasn't cool.
how can we expect the guys to respect the parameters of devs only if our own dev's don't?
yes, what you posted was relatively innocuous. but that is *not* the point.
if inigo wanted the thread on the general board, she would have put it there. and people replying to a devs only topic (no matter *what* it's about) should feel safe and confident that their replies will be kept in that area and not referred to elsewhere.
you could have just started your own thread and ask the wheelers what words they would use to describe devs if that was the information you were looking for.
this board's purpose isn't to make the wheelers to feel good about themselves. it's purpose is to be a safe place for devs to meet and talk about stuff they can't anywhere else.
every time the sanctity of devs only gets violated it sets the depth of our conversations back because we can't trust that what we say here *will stay here*.
i tried to bite my tongue on this, i really did. but i would call out any wheeler who did the same thing, and in my opinion the fact that you are a dev made it even more inappropriate.
