Great chat, everyone! I'm sorry I had to leave early, but it was fun to talk to you all, including some new members. It seems like we all really enjoyed the book (even if some slackers like me didn't have time to reread it). If you still haven't picked it up, I highly recommend it! It's well-written, and he's very open and specific about living with SCI, in a way that's pretty rare even in other autobiographies.
I'm also sorry we didn't get a chance to set a date and topic for the next book club, but I really hope we can meet in May. I'd prefer we schedule something before May 22, because I'm going out of town again. If we're going for a Tuesday night again, how about May 10 or 17?
And as for a book or movie, hmmm...I can't think of anything. I'll give it some more thought. Any suggestions?

How 'bout May 10th? That doesn't leave much time to get a book and read it. How about a movie or just all talking more about Moving Violations since no one really read it all/again? We always talk about non-book stuff most of the time to so maybe we could just schedule an open chat and talk about relationships and all the usual stuff.

Ladies, I had the most fun I have ever had with my clothes on, last night. Thank you for the sweet welcome, and the couch you gave me to recline on to bare my soul. I am hoping that I will be on my new adventure in May, so keep your fingers crossed. I look forward to talking with you again soon. Any time will work for me now. I should know more later.
As for books or movies, I wonder if any of you have Jeffrey Deaver's Lincoln Rymes books? (The Bone collector was made into a movie with Denzel Washington.) There are several other books in the series. One movie that does a LOT for me is a Bollywood film named 'Guzzarish '. There are a lot of clips of it on YouTube. I LOVE the opening scenes. The star has a smile that blows me away.
Thanks again---you ladies are great, and I really got some good advice.
I do have a question---I have seen references to fanfics. Where do you find that? I have so much to learn!

Was a great chat again (as always ). And I'll be around for the next one (even though I'm usually a bit sleepy ;P). I like the idea of maybe continueing with *moving violations* (I'll be reading it during easter weekend ). Also love hearing all thoughts/ideas/'stuff' that we talk about!

It was awesome, as always! I love The Bone Collector too, K8. I have read all the Lincoln Rhymes books and they are not all as strong, but they are all enjoyable. The Bone Collector book is a thousand times better than the movie, though it does still have the lying in bed a lot issue. It took a book or two before he started going out and interacting with the world again. I like the idea of continuing a discussion of Moving Violations for May and maybe we could do The Bone Collector for June? And certainly relationship chatter is always fun. It seems to be raining quads lately In terms of fanfic, it is really hard to find anything good! But if you do a Google search for "fanfic" and your favorite dev movies, you'll find stuff (example "fanfic avatar" "fanfic dark angel") There are a few people doing fanfic of NCIS where Tony is paralyzed (same actor as Logan in Dark Angel). There's some for Extreme Ghostbusters, but everything I've found is awful (and goes the wrong direction in the love triangle). I want to try my hand at some Ghostbusters fanfic, I adore Garratt's character. But that will have to wait until I finish all the stories that I've promised on my website! lol.

That's a good idea! Sadly, I don't "play well with others." In other words, I've never been able to do collaborative story writing because I need all of the control!
Garratt is so much better than Eduardo, really I don't think it's any contest for Kylie!
