My horrific, I want to kill you, I may never talk to you again, you just might be dead to me pet peeve is when people who tell me I will change my mind about not having children. I do not want kids. Ever! I do not like little children. I do not have the patience for little children. I do not get along with little children. I do not want them... EVER. I hate hate hate *hate* it when I hear people tell me "Oh, you're young," and "You say that now," and "Just wait for the clock to start... you'll change your mind." NO! I won't. I'm 25. I may be "young" but I know what I like, what I don't like, what I want, and what I don't want. And I don't want kids! The rest of it I can live with. Some things may bother me a whole hell of a lot. (Like people who do not pull over for emergency vehicles. Whether the are police officers, ambulances, fire trucks, etc. If you hear sirens and see lights flashing get the F--- out of the way!! I will see cars just driving along, either unaware or not caring of the fact that someone else needs the help that they (the original driver) is holding up. In times like these I really enjoy karma. Someday they (the original driver) will be in the predicament of needing emergency help and some other schmuck is going to be in their way.  ) Everything else, while it may annoy me, doesn't get me angry enough to want to hurt someone. |

Condescension, right lane drivers in the left lane, and staring over my shoulder while I'm on the computer. And cheaters (on girlfriends, not tests). lucretia: BIG HUG!!!! Sounds like a rough day.  |

I would say what pisses me off the most is when other people try to talk me out of my being pissed off. I don't have one or two trigger hair actions that can set me off but when I am aggravated or upset and people tell me either "it's not really that bad" or "it could be worse" and the ever-dreaded "If that's all you have to worry about - you should consider yourself lucky" it really makes me see red.
I KNOW that it could be worse. I KNOW it's not really that bad. And I KNOW that other people are dealing with a lot more sh*t than I am. I don't care!!! Right now it is my turn to be pissed off, and rant, and rave, and if I wanted someone to try to rationalize with me - I would have called my Mother.
I'm a Libra - the scales of balance - we tend to be very even tempered, let if flow, don't get worked up about a lot of stuff. So when I do get angry and upset - just let me be upset. It will all blow over in 5-10 minutes and I'll be my calm little koala bear I was before.

What pisses me off is when guys will post shit on the regular board that's DIRECTLY FROM the dev's only section and then pretend that they found it somewhere else. They're fooling no one. Grrrr!
I mean, I know that they all read here... but at least they could respectfully not respond to any of it.

I was trying to think of how to say it... but here is the purpose of this part of the board.  I created this forum as a place where devs can have discussions about their deep dark fantasies about disabled men without feeling like they have to vanilla it up for the wheelers around. Of course, it's all the honor system. There's no way to assure that everyone who posts here is who they say they are. And this board is viewable to everyone, so use your judgment about what you say. This came into being at a time when there was a lot of trolling... and the board itself became members only. There's some discussion of it here... paradevo.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=692&page=1... along with some examples of the trolling.  It was all a long time ago and is not so easy to search now... but I'll try to find more if you need me to. |

@ Inigo, Dolly, and Lucretia Thank you for your thoughts! I can definitely understand the desire to have a place that is a "girls only" room. I was just always confused by the openness - even when I was just reading and not commenting. There are some topics on here that would seem pretty private - such as the "what do you miss most" conversation and to keep it on the board when we *know* the guys can (and often do) read what we say seemed... unnerving. @ Lucretia I love "pulling the dev card." I just might have to use that myself one day. |

Lindsay :): Yes, and we needed a place to talk about that stuff. Can you imagine if that topic was out on the board? It's the kind of thing that an angry or bitter guy would be all over, I think. It's not just a "Girls' Only" room. It's a "Devs' Only" room... so the gay and bi guys will occasionally post here, too. Although, very occasionally.... apparently they either don't have as much they feel like they need to discuss. Or they're put off by the estrogen rich atmosphere. I hope it's not the latter. =/ lucretia: Yeah, I wasn't around during the time you mentioned. But in the months before I joined, I think I read every one of those threads. I'd hate to try to do that nearly 4 years later... there's so much more content. When I post here I definitely always remember that they read here. If I ever get to feeling honestly safe in it then someone will take something like "the Revolution" or a vid clip from here and post it in another section and I remember. It's kind of like the fourth wall, you know?

I was doing deep cleaning at home. And I found the notebooks where I wrote stories as a child (I was 11 years old... and obviously they are all about my devness) and I realized one thing ... How simple I saw life as a child!
Leaving aside the gramatical "horrors " and tons of misspelled words, everything seemed to be so simple for me: woman meets wheeler, they fall in love but he says nothing and tries to get away for fear, she is persistent, lot of kissing, some touching and then... Shangri La.
In between there were discussions, mistakes and forgiveness, and it all happened in 2 or 3 days! And obviously... they were alone, they don´t care the rest of the world, there where no family with dissaproving looks nor friends telling you that that was not right! LOL !!...
This is how I saw life when I was 11 ... complicated things were resolved so quickly! And, most important, everything worked out well!
Where has that innocence gone!?! LOL
