I just finished reading the latest posts on the 'devotee' thread over at apparalyzed and I really felt like replying to some of the dumb misinformed posts but thought it'd be best to have a few devotees do it. One of the posts that was prob the worst was as follows- ''I guess I just don't get it. So a woman is attracted to me because I have no feeling/control below my chest level. I may be attractive or ugly. Nice or a jerk. She is still attracted due to my injury, and nothing to do with my person. I guess I don't get it, and don't want it. Maybe someone can explain it so I can see the attraction from an injury perspective.'' heres the link if you dont already know it...and sorry if im bringing up shit. www.apparelyzed.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=754&st=90

Goodsteez, your picture is very, very interesting. Care to post a few more on the real photos page? I like your bad-boy looks.

Hi, Goodsteez. I posted there, and now I'm here. I never even heard of a "devotee" before last week but am now going through some pondering and soul searching.

Thank you so much Goodsteez for sticking up for us. I don't know why I'm feeling so sensitive lately, but all this devo-bashing is getting me down As I suspected, the story from the devo-hater on Savage Love is making the rounds, here it is on Spine Wire: carecure.org/forum/showthread.php?p=378323#post378323Oh great, now we're not just sick, but gross, demeaning, and rapists even. And hey Goodsteez, if you want to post photos, they would be greatly appreciated, you seem really cool

I read these two goofball's posts; they make it sound like they're so tired of having to fight off the hordes of shallow, slavering devotees..they've probably never met one IRL.

Ah well. to each his own opinion. I say, just leave them all alone... water will seek it's own level. Let's let the goofballs just kind of wallow in their own muck.

Just out of curiosity... how many of the wheelers here could not reach keys on a high shelf? I would have thought most people with the ability to reach would have "grabby sticks" of some sort to reach things that are too high or too low. Or that they might at least be able to get a hanger or a broomstick and knock em down or something.

Wow, 'grabby sticks' (I'm still laughing) seems totally random, but a good idea, nonetheless.
I want one now for the stuff I can't reach.

I've solved this problem-and it can be a problem-by ordering on of those expandable steel cudgels; it's actually a weapon, of course, but will give me 21'' of reach, and it's only 8'' when not expanded. Great for teasing boxes off high shelves at the grocery. Or busting heads. Kidding, I'm kidding...

lol I just use a broom. If it's something fragile I put a pillow under it. Works for me.

Yeay, finally some good press: www.thestranger.com/seattle/SavageLove?oid=25851I know you are all sick of this topic by now, but I was happy to see it. Looks like someone beat Devo Girl to the punch, but I have been lazy as shit these past two weeks. Was it one of our intrepid members? Whoever she is, right on sister!
