I seem to attract either the "I need a babysitter" or the "I'm not comfortable with your intelligence/confidence, so I'm going to be a condescending jerk" types. There have been a few notable exceptions... Emphasis on the "few", however. Just this weekend, I was out shooting and my first few shots with my toy were way off since I'd just switched from a lil .22... and this guy next to me said "You have to aim above the sights" and then made a crack about my safety glasses. Does he REALLY think it's a good idea to piss off a chick with a loaded gun?? LMAO, Z!!!... why can men thrust that we can be hell good shooters!! LOL... next time, take a 357!! LOL

LOL!!!.... At home, my partner hates guns... any kind of weapons!... so, the ´22 is in my drawer and I´m the one who used it... And the shotgun is in the closet, and the swords are behind the door... LOL... I love weapons... My partner... if it is needed... he grab the broom stick! LOL!!!... But I must say... he hates weapons but he is pretty fearless...!! And he accepts my love for weapons!

I quit playing with them after nearly switching sides and becoming a finger amp though.

Girls... we are a serious kind! LOL... I love sharp/lethal objects (good one Lucre)... I used to have a lot of them... A Katana, a Toledan Sword (it was a copy... I looked for that after "Highlander"), yurikens, a couple of daggers and a hunting razor (bend knife). But I never have a Butterfly knife... lol... And, like you Z... I used to play with the knife switching sides but never failed! LOL... and I used to practice throwing knives and yurikens (I love yurikens)... What I could never master (I was always hitting myself a lot!!) was the nuntchakos!! LOL Now a day, I have only my razor or pocket knife that can be bend (I don´t know its name) that I always carry in my bag (a habit) and the swiss army knife (it serves me for my work).
Nice to know we are several "take up arms" women! LMAO!!

I also throw tomahawks, when the mood strikes, dress up in 18th century clothing, bake a pie over a campfire...you know... the usual dev stuff.... Baking a pie over a campfire takes talent!! Which is why I always stick to roasting small animals... And Val, it was the butterfly knife that almost robbed me of a finger. I'm just not coordinated enough.

;D All chemical engineers are well-behaved pyros.
Bonfire-related tip: try adding peanut butter to your s'mores!

I am also a bit of a pyro and have to constantly poke at campfires. They are definitely up there as one of my favorite things.

We should plan an international dev camping trip this summer! That would be a blast!! You people better pick a place with bathrooms, that's all I've gotta say. I'm not peeing in the woods... not even for you. My lesbian bff finds my reluctance to pee outside absolutely hilarious... But, man, I hate peeing in the woods. >.>
