Well, I have downloaded a lot of great stories for my Kindle. I decided to look at free books for Kindle, then I did a search for handicapped romance and disabled romance and found a ton of e-books to download I am going to be having some fun

I love Amazon's "Recommended for You" section - I don't even have to search for new books anymore!

You'll have to report back with recommendations! I'm reading A Heart of Little Faith on mine now, paraplegic hero in a romance. It's pretty good so far!

I just splurged I'm telling you. I have like 40 stories downloaded, not all dev stories, there are a couple of time travel ones thrown in. I really like the Ultimate Guide to Sex and Disability. It's not just good for people with disabilities, it's good for everyone. I learned things in there that are helping me and things I want to discover if I ever find anyone. Since I'm a meticulous person, I have to finish that book before I go on to others! I got Ruth's Dev Dreams book I already have Whole in hard copy. I just love love love my kindle hehe

I don't have a Kindle, but I have the ap for my ipod touch and it's great. I've been reading a lot more since I got it. I can stay up at night reading because it lights itself, so I won't have to get up and turn off the light. I can read some during meetings at work because holding my ipod looks like I'm doing something important. I stay away from the full price books, so it's a really amazing deal.
The free and 99 cent books bother me a bit. It places so little value on the time and effort that goes into making a novel. I tend not to trust that they'll be any good if the author is willing to sell for so little. But every once in a while I try out one of the 99 cent ones just because it's easy, so I guess that's why they do it.

I don't even have an iPod, I just read in on the computer and on my Galaxy smartphone. And I'd add reading in the subway, on my way to and from work as well:D Ruth, thx for the recommandation above. I've bought the book and - without giving any spoilers away - don't you just love the writer's easy gettaway with an incomplete injury so that "it only affects the legs". These writers should pay a fee to the keepers of the board, since we're buying their books so much

There's also a weird throw-away line about a woman who likes wheelchairs and the guy dismisses that as curiosity seekers. I'm going to mention that too. So far though I'm probably giving it five stars. The writing is rich and engaging, the sensory descriptions are good, and it's very true to its genre. I'm enjoying it. I'm going to try to get in touch with her for an interview. I figure the more I can support and help others who write with disabled characters, the more of it we will have!
