I'm a 27-year-old quad from Minnesota. While I'm interested only in women, I'm up for any type of conversation. I don't want to sound like too much of a cliché, but I simply want to find the ying to my yang.
I listen primarily to traditional heavy metal (classic rock also occupies a sizable portion of my CD collection, too). I also watch a lot of sports and way too many B-movies and horror films - the latter is a particularly unhealthy obsession of mine. I actually operate a website that reviews horror films and discusses relevant topics. I'm your typical guy in many ways, but I like to make people laugh - I'm a former high school class clown and a hell of a smart ass - and I enjoy good conversation.
I work as a public speaker addressing high school students about the importance of good decision-making and dealing with adversity. It's a steady job and a decent way to make a living, but I hope to eventually find a more creative occupation. I'm college-educated and fairly well-read.
Ultimately, I'm an open book, so ask and I shall answer.

Welcome. Great user name . You are a high quad, right? What is the level of your spinal cord injury, if I may ask?

Hi! Good to meet you.
What kind of horror? Like slasher gory stuff? Personally I like creepy psychological dramas like Paranormal Activity. Some people would consider that horror and others wouldn't.

Thank you all for the warm reception. Now, to address some of your specific questions… Welcome. Great user name . You are a high quad, right? What is the level of your spinal cord injury, if I may ask? I like the band King Crimson, so I simply modified it a little bit to arrive at King Cripple. I'm happy you appreciate it. To answer your question, yes, I am a high quad. My injury is at the C3 level. But my philosophy is: go big or go home. Hi! Good to meet you. What kind of horror? Like slasher gory stuff? Personally I like creepy psychological dramas like Paranormal Activity. Some people would consider that horror and others wouldn't. I'm an equal opportunity horror enthusiast. While I like elevated genre films where the substance doesn't stem from the "horror" but from the characters and the gravity of their situation, I also enjoy horror films where the focus is simply on the boobs and blood. I, too, enjoy the Paranormal Activity films - the third installment, which reaches theaters this Friday, is supposedly quite good - but I wouldn't call it a psychological drama. It's two people being attacked by a ghost in their home. The line between horror and thriller is admittedly a blurry one obscured mostly by misconception and semantics. But look at me, already pickin' a fight on only my second day of school. I know what type of films you enjoy, and I would say those are my favorites, too. Hi and welcome from your neighbor in Wisconsin Midwest in the house - w00t w00t!

But my philosophy is: go big or go home. Awesome. I am an ardent supporter of the 'all or nothing' school of thought. ;D And welcome from me, too. That's quite a way to make a living!

I like King Crimson too When they play the one song on the radio, I blast it. I think I downloaded it to one of my memory cards...

Thank you for your kind words about my occupation. It pays the bills and keeps the youngins out of wheelchairs. I like King Crimson too When they play the one song on the radio, I blast it. I think I downloaded it to one of my memory cards... A woman after my own heart. Red is one of my all-time favorite albums. "Starless," the final song on the album, is one of the finest pieces of music ever written. I know this isn't "The Recommendation Thread," but I found a full album stream on YouTube. If you enjoy the band, you love this album. Classic! Check it out here:
