Yay! The Amazon.es store only just opened for us U.S. authors to be able to use. I've had what they call the Brown Bar of Shame there for the couple months it's been open because I didn't sell any copies! lol. Lucretia, I'm so glad this gave you an opportunity to pick it up. That's what a promotion is for! (okay, that and trying to hook new people ) Oh, and we're up 5,500 copies currently. It's #12 in the contemporary romance ebook list! This is absolutely the wildest thing that's happened to me since I started publishing.

Which book that would be?... (W)hole or Breath(e)?... I mean, which one is number 12?
Ah... again... congrats Ruth!

So very exciting! You know champagne is *very* palatable with a strawberry popped in it...3001 downloads definitely calls for it!

Paradevo.net is explicitly mentioned on the dedicatory of that one.

Yes, it is (W)hole that I promoted as free and I have a link to Breath(e) in there, so hopefully it generates some sales.
I left it free for only two days and in the end had 10,600 downloads. Pretty incredible. That's more than any author's promotions that I've heard of. I think people are really darn curious about that cover! lol.

So exciting for two reasons: 1. Potential explosion of writing career 2. The 'wow factor' of all those closet devs finding a free book that speaks about everything they previously thought was strangely unique to them. I don't post very often (for various reasons) but I lurk a lot, and I feel that you are the vanguard of this little community. It is your public openness, as well as the excellent and insightful posts from every other member, that have led me to wholly accept this secret sparkling part of myself.

Mariposa, I am so honored that you came out of lurk mode for me. Thank you! I love the phrase "secret sparking part of myself." That is lovely. And yeah, I thought I might get a couple hundred downloads. This has defied every expectation I had. Since the promotion there has been an explosion of sales, both for (W)hole and all my other titles, so it really did what it was meant to do. It's things like this that motivate me to keep on writing as fast as I can! Seriously, you guys need to submit stuff to Lee's book so you know this kind of thrill

So what is it that I always speculate about........
There are WAY more female devs out there than the few of us who are here.
