I'm thinking you really need a professional PR rep to get you interviews, etc., to help you catapult your new momentum.

And the downside of all the downloads... My book is now being pirated. Google Alerts let me know about five different sites that have illegal downloads of my book available. Grrrr.

Hahaha, yes I'm trying to look at it that way  Hopefully it will just mean more exposure. That's all I can do is tell myself that because there's no stopping it once it gets pirated. |

It's showing up on a bunch of torrent sites. (after giving away a bunch of copies, so I'm sure that's where they got it from, but just because it was free for two days as part of my promotion does not make it legal for a third party to share it ) Anyway, I haven't attempted to download it because I don't know if it's really the book or if it's someone using the name to try to give people viruses. I really don't know very much about this sort of thing! |

You could try downloading it from a Mac, that might be safe. I would try it for you, but I don't know anything about the torrent sites.......
Have you sent them a take-down notice, or does that not do any good?

wow!... I have an artist friend, she is an amazing painter. Her works and the work from another 2 illustraitors are being sold by a guy in eBay!....
He took it from Deviantart and he did the printing.... and the guy is selling it like it belong to him. (the other illustrator is the well known Luis Royo).
At least they are not selling your book, Ruth. That mean that a lot of ppl could buy the paperback copy.

I don't think it will have any affect, as I know others who have done that without any luck. I'll need to spend some time on the sites to figure out where the contact information is. |
