My first blind hero! "Product Description Lily has been fantasizing about her hot, blind coworker, Adam, since she first joined the company. Will she be able to move her fantasies into reality? *** "The next morning I go into work early. When I open the door, the room is dark. No one has come in yet to turn on the lights. But then I see the back of Adam's head outlined as my eyes adjust. My hand is already outstretched towards the light switch, but I stop. Instead of turning it on, I put down my purse and walk in the dark towards Adam's desk." *** This is an erotic short story of 5,000 words for adults only." www.amazon.com/dp/B0076BOMEQwww.smashwords.com/books/view/130106

Damn, Ruth! You are a machine! I'm so impressed with how much you've been publishing lately. I will definitely buy a copy.
While we're self-promoting here, my own blind guy story is inching toward a conclusion. Just two more chapters!

Ruth, I just bought it, I'm looking forward to reading it (whenever I finish what I'm reading right now). DG, I didn't know you wrote fiction, too. Please publish it! But for now I will read it there.

Woo-hoo, DG! When you get it published, I will definitely be buying a copy I'm a bit nervous about this one. It's something new, plus it's explicit which is something that I'm still not entirely comfortable with.

Thanks Judit! Clearly I need to promote my writing more...I've been writing a lot lately, not just reviews. Nothing up on the stories blog yet, but hopefully soon.
I am excited to get into self-publishing, although I doubt I'll be doing the kind of promotion Ruth does. I still need to come up with a pen name. Devo Girl doesn't look so great on a book cover, and it would be nice to appeal to a non-dev audience too. My husband suggested Lusty Sparks, which is awesome, but since I'm writing genteel historical fiction and not hard-core erotica I'm not sure it fits.

I'm a bit nervous about this one. No need to be nervous - it was great.

Thank you, Judit! It's always nerve wracking to put one's work out there for others to read! DG, once you're ready and you've got some stuff published, I will be helping out with promotion however I can! I've been learning a lot about marketing and I'm trying to see if I can put that to use with something that isn't a niche, so I've been experimenting with another pen name. So far not much luck. However, I'm confident that when it comes to dev authors, I can be at least a little bit of help. I will twitter and facebook and send messages to my website newsletter and interview on my site! As far as the pen name, yeah I think a erotica name like that would confuse people. You might get angry reviews from people expecting something steamy! I wonder if you could slightly modify DevoGirl, like use Devon or some name that sounds like it. Hmmmm. Definitely an important thing to think about (and also Google names to make sure someone else isn't already writing under it!). But yeah, whatever I have to give in the marketing department is yours.
