That's all... just wanted the various authors to know since I've gotten too lazy to comment after every update.
I am thoroughly enjoying it. Thank you all.

Even though I've kind of been on a bit of a dev downer, I caught up on a few yesterday-total gold! Thanks for all the time and energy you guys must put into it

I still can't figure out how to navigate the stories site. I constantly think I am caught up with the most recent installment of a story only to see that there are more updates I have missed.
Let me explain my issue. Since I only remember to check the stories when someone posts about them here I am always behind. So find what I have missed I click on the title of the story in the right side column under the STORIES. So for example I clicked on Swimming to the Surface which brought me to a page with part 1-6 all right after one another. I just realized tonight if I click on BLOG ARCHIVE 2012 may there is a part 7 posted. How come that didn't show up when I clicked on the title of the story initially? How do i get all updates to a story to show up. Its often really hard to tell what update you have read because they are not dated.
Can anyone help?

Emma: Very simple.
After you read parts 1-6, just click on "Older Posts" at the bottom of the screen, just like if you were reading a real blog and wanted to see more entries.

Oh my, that IS so simple. It doesn't make sense at all though since part 7 of that story is actually newer than parts 1-6 but, ok now I know. Thanks Lee.

It makes sense if you read it from beginning to end.
For you, however, you might want to look for the "update" posts, which aren't tagged but just appear as regular posts. For example, if you just go to the main site, you'll see something that says, "SttS -- update!" or similar. The link to #7 is in that post. If you want to see those kinds of things, go to the menu along the right side and check it out by date.

We ask the authors to back date their posts, so when you look at the site the first part of the story appears first. So yes, the dates are backwards, but if we didn't do it that way, then when you clicked on a story, you'd see the end first. This is the problem with posting fiction on a site designed for blogs.

Okay that makes sense DG. I always do better when I understand the reasoning behind things. Hopefully I'll always be able to stay current on the stories now.
