Wait, what? A whacky European on the board? Yep Hi! My name is Max, I'm from Europe, 30yo, cerebral palsy, gay, and manual wheelchairuser. What brought me to this board? My search for stories about disabled (gay) love. Not so much a devotee, but I certainly find some of the fiction on this board and elsewhere on the net very fascinating. I've tried to find more CP-related stories, but that's a bit hard to find. I thought I'd see what is to find here, having a chat, reading stuff, anything fun basicly. I'm not looking for a hookup though. My motto (or one of the many) is 'you can always ask me anything'. You'll find out if I will answer soon enough. So don't be afraid of the funny foreign guy .

Welcome, Max! I know Ruth's novel Breath(e) has a guy with CP as one of the love interests.

Oh wow, what a welcome, thanks! I've lurked a little while here, and I got the impression that there were pretty much only people from the US here. Glad I'm not the only European! Oh and Ximena, thanks for the tip. I'll check it out.

NP, Max! And there are quite a few people on the board from across the globe - Europe, South America, Australia, etc.

I did quite some homework before I registered here, but the diversity I overlooked, woops . To be honest i had a somewhat different idea of a devoteewebsite than I have now. After some reading and searching, this board appeared the least 'extreme' to me. (I really, truly hope I do not offend anyone, that is absolutely not my intention. english is not my first language, so sometimes my wording might not be as I intended) Also, I realised that I too had/have had a thing for one or two disabled guys. Both a very, very cute guy who's hard of hearing but unfortunately straight and taken. Secondly the friend, also with cp, wth who I discovered I was indeed gay . He eventually went for bi/mostly straight, but it was a good experience for both of us. What got me convinced was the stories. Cost me quite some time reading . I hope to find more of it, and maybe, just maybe, write my own someday. Oh and even though I'm not looking for a hookup, that doesn't mean I'm not open for chat/email/pm.

So, two young men, both with cerebral palsy and gay, who hit it off together, that is beautiful to me Is he also in a wheelchair? Oh, and have you been to any coffee shops lately? I imagine the "items" you can buy there would make you less shaky? (but definitely not less wacky!) ;D

[..] Dee Dee would also be interested in the video footage...if that's available. Just kidding! Hmm, that stays in my private collection ;D har har har[..] So, two young men, both with cerebral palsy and gay, who hit it off together, that is beautiful to me Is he also in a wheelchair? Oh, and have you been to any coffee shops lately? I imagine the "items"; you can buy there would make you less shaky? (but definitely not less wacky!) ;D No coffeeshops, my cp isn't too shaky, I'm normally moderately bendable and mobile . He might've benefited from it though. He's in a wheelchair too, but is cp is much more severe. I can stand and transfer with reasonable ease. He can just about transfer to his bed and is tensed/stiff (no not that kind..) pretty much all the time. It started when we were both still bicurious and totally unaware of our similarities. We've known eachother for years and somehow the subject came up and to our mutual surprise we both confessed to being curious. One thing led to another and there we were, totally nervous and..well..trying things He soon decided he was just a little bi, more straight. I came to the conclusion I was gay. He also set boundaries, things he didn't want to do. We were both happy with it and decided, why not have fun once in a while. I have to admit, it's somewhat of a hassle, two wheelchairs and two people almost as stiff as a board, but we made things work . Tried to keep this post as decent as I could, while still telling as much as possible
