hey welcome to the board ... how nice is sydney at the moment even in the cold its still sunny. that anddddddddddddd 18th Biennale is on !!! yeaaahhhh kid . ps i dont know if you are into art but i am as you can tell im going to spend Friday and Saturday night at Cockatoo Island. for opening partys yes srrrrrrrr !!!

Ah yes. My family are pretty evenly divided between arts and sciences--I chose the latter vocationally, but could have easily chosen the former. Like I said, mainly I'm into music and film, but really, I appreciate all interesting and well-crafted art. (I've been surrounded by it all my life...) Hope you enjoy the weekend! Friday and Saturday are looking great, weather-wise.

I can never hear the word biennale without the mental image of Juan Davila's "Stupid as a painter" being replayed over and over in my head. My ex had the program with the uncesored copy of it. The vice squad removing the painting really put Bienalle on the map.

omg woke i had the best time .... went on the water taxi to the cocartoo island and to this massive party in one of the wearhouses on there... just among the art. you know how they have all these abndond buldings that have art in them now... yeah well in there they have fashion shows and art, and the best dj and shit ... it was so cool. it was the best opening / party i have ever been to in a while. that was two night ago and im still dead from it. you have to come up to see it ... you will love it . its all extensible. i checked it out

The Big Lebowski" is another favourite--not only is it hilarious, but the mix of stoner comedy and hard-boiled mystery (with Busby Berkeley influences thrown in for good measure) make it quite interesting, stylistically. We should have a White Russian together one day
