Earlier this year a friend took me flying in a micro-light. It was an absolute treat to fly around the Cape Peninsula. I took this pic with my phone so I'm chuffed it came out well. Even the roof of my house is (just) visible in the picture :-) What you see in the foreground is the Cape Town Stadium in Green Point that was built for the Soccer World Cup in SA in 2010.

Wow! That view is amazing. That looks like a very neat place to live Thanks! It is an awesome place. As you can see - sea and mountains all in the same city. The white building you can see in the bottom right corner is right on the beach. We were actually flying along the shoreline and then later we turned and flew around Table Mountain (the mountain on the top left). I live at the bottom of Signal Hill - the hill in the foreground straight up from the stadium.

Like most Americans (embarrassed face), I know very little about South Africa. It really is cool to see pictures of places that you'll likely never get to see in real life.

I'd love to visit Cape Town to dive with great white sharks; so jealous Hi B4I, I can hook you up there. One of my personal friends is the shark cage diving operator in Cape Town. I used to DM for him a long time ago. These are for you:

Nah, on a boat with a telephoto lens. ;-) The jumping shark was about 20m behind the boat attacking a decoy. In the other pics the sharks were pretty much directly next to the boat, but that is still plenty distance.

Here is another picture from the flight. This was just before landing again. Straight ahead the famous Cape Town silhouette with Table Mountain in the middle and Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned on the right edge of the picture.

You're gunna need a bigger boat!
I know it's not cool to explain things like this, but hey, maybe some of the young'uns don't know this line
