this is not a picture, but it ties in well with the shark theme above and it was filmed here on Cape Town's south-eastern shore -- False Bay. BTW - that's the same place I took the above great white shark pictures: Octopus stealing food while holding off a shark:

I just re-watched these beautiful photos, Ryoot, and yesterday evening I watched a TV-programme about Cape Town. It featured a 250-year-old court trial about the mutany on the ship "Meermin" (which was a Dutch ship used as transportation for people that were captured and used as slaves ( ). They said that most inhabitants in Cape Town are actually descendants from the people who were sent there to work as slaves many, many years ago. I did not know so much about Cape Town, but that was an interesting TV-programme. Thanks for sharing the photos en.wikipedia.org/wiki/meermin_slave_mutiny

I have a friend who is big into discovering wrecks. I will ask him if he has heard about the Meermin next time I see him.

Again, nice photos RyooT.
However, the beach looks a little unapproachable. How do people get there? Is there a long staircase leading to the beach?

Yes. It's quite a hike from the parking lot with a very long staircase at the end. And like a friend said on Sat. You don't want to be the one to be sent for ice cream once you get down there. Sent from my GT-I9300 using proboards

Today's exploit - a trip up Lions Head: The Cape Town CBD, Milnerton and part of the Cape Flats from above. If you check the first picture I posted, Lions Head is the peak in the middle of that picture.
