Currently put on "Drunk Parents" on U.S.Netflix and saw a surprise wheeler 7-8min in. I'm guessing para. He is dating Alec Baldwin's character's daughter who just left for college. It is a comedy so there was like 3 wheelchair jokes in that 1 min span. I am still watching the movie so not sure if he shows up in any other scenes. I'm 90% sure it's an AB actor between 21-33 years old.
Also, I was looking at the upcoming list for Netflix and saw a documentary on the Paralympics being released this Wednesday. The preview showed it will be a history/meet some of these well known athletes type of documentary. I'll watch it on Wed. and report back

He is AB.

YES Rising Phoenix comes out on Wed! So stoked. Been watching interviews with Tatyana McFadden for a couple weeks now. Should be a great documentary.

So I just watched Rising Phoenix on Netflix, I was worried it was going to be inspirational porn at its worse but actually I don't think it is, it's more like the good kind of sport documentary. You know when you watch a sport flick and you get all invested? That's the feeling. I'm not much of a sport person myself but I'm not gonna lie, it made me tear up a bit, especially because they brought up one of the few people from my country that really makes me feel national pride, paralympic fencer Bebe Vio; she's such an intellgent, passionate and funny person, I love her! Definitely suggest y'all watch it!

New Netflix film called All Together Now. Has a quad in it. Not too terribly much. Of course I wish it was more. But he actually is a quad too. And it’s such a cute and great movie!!! ❤️

hello. i think i mentioned this telenovela before, but now i found four youtube videos with the story of davi and aurora from joia rara. i enjoyed their story a lot, even if he walks again in the end, but i think they have great chemistry. also youtube translates the subtitles from portugese to very bad english enjoy.

New Netflix show, Away. The super hot lawyer from The Good Wife has some health thing and ends up in a chair in like the 3rd episode I’m like 7-8 episodes in. He’s in it quite a bit. The show is really good too!!

Thanks for the recommendation! I watched it today and the role of the para is very minor. I'd say he's barely a character, more of a plot device. The disability portrayal is so low-effort that he's still being wheeled around by his wife in what looks like a hospital chair more than four years post-injury. They could have replaced him with a cardboard cut-out that says "victim in a wheelchair". It's a shame, because I agree, he's pretty handsome! Apart from the total dev let-down, I thought the movie was really good, though! Solid legal drama (for a TV movie at least) and I really liked the female main character.

Not sure if this has been mentioned here before, but I came across it completely by accident (a random ad showed up while I was googling something at work): "Toni, männlich, Hebamme - Daddy Blues" www.daserste.de/unterhaltung/film/filme-im-ersten/videos/toni-maennlich-hebamme-daddy-blues-video-102.htmlIt's a German TV series (with movie-length episodes) about a male midwife, Toni. In this episode Toni's sister is pregnant and her boyfriend (the father of the baby) is paralyzed after an accident. This part of the plot is about how his sister and her boyfriend deal with the challenge of becoming parents just after the accident and ensuing relationship issues, as well as conflict between the boyfriend and Toni. I found the writing a bit cringey at times and the acting by the main actor (Toni) felt flat to me. But it's funny at times and a light watch. The portrayal of the disability was actually pretty decent for that type of (rather low-budget?) TV show, I thought.

Hi, not sure if anyone has mentioned, but I wanted to share that I starter watching “Away” on Netflix. The husband Matt, suffers a stroke due to CCM and is now in a wheelchair. Slowly showing his journey while the wife (Hilary Swank) is an astronaut going off on space journey to Mars. I’m only three episodes in, but has piqued my dev interests.

Sorry if these have been mentioned already, but both of these came up on my Amazon Prime video:
Stilts and Spokes:
Ogar: Will of Steel
I’ve added them to my watchlist and will update when I actually have the chance to watch them, but the trailers both seemed intriguing to me.
