Have been a dev for many years, since we used to hook up through two small zines. They were all we had... one was called Able-Together and the other was called Para-Amps. (A bit of gay history for you!!)

I was trying to figure out where to post this but finally landed on this thread. I found out recently that a friend of mine, who was a gay man with spina bifida, passed away at the relatively young age of 42. We knew each other for more than 20 years, having met on PlanetOut (remember that website??) in undergrad in the SF Bay Area. He was one of my first gay friends, and the first friend I made who had a disability. There was definitely some dev attraction at work, combined with the hormones of being 19 and online, but it was overall a relatively platonic relationship with occasional intimacy if we were both feeling it. We met our respective husbands around the same time and he got married a year after me.
I guess I'm sharing because there's a thread on the Devs Only section about fantasy/reality and the reality is that he always had health problems related to his disability. That was a fact of his life. And of his husband's life. And I'm glad he found a partner who understood that - not everyone does, and it can be a difficult area to navigate in relationships. He told me once he felt that those practical considerations got in the way of meeting the right man, at least until he met his husband. His husband (who also had spina bifida) died in his sleep only two years ago, so perhaps some people are simply not meant to live without the other.

Bi leaning neurodivergent MS’r here. Best relationship with a guy ever was with a dev (he never admitted it and I only learned the term later, but in hindsight it was obvious) nurse who “took advantage” of me in the 1980’s and I SO want that again!
